This came up in another thread.
Denver ,Colorado is a mile high and has several pool rooms.
Anybody know of any where higher that has a true pool room?

I played in a small poolroom in Highlands, NC about 20-25 years ago. It's 4300 ft up but your's is probably more than that. Johnnyt
 
Winter Park

There is a new place to play in Winter Park, CO. I think its called "The Library" its also a restaurant and brewery. They have 2 9ft tables, old tables from the Wynkoop. Table time is always free. I don't consider it a pool hall but those are the highest tables I know of, now for the highest players, thats another story. My vote has to go to Denver :yeah:

The only room I can can think of that is higher than Denver, would be the Pool Room on the other side of the Pearly Gates ( Dejesus Billiards). I heard from a very Reliable source that Saint Peter doesn't allow any Nit's or players known for Bad action into Dejesus Billiards!!!:smile:


So you Nits and Welcher's out there better change you ways. Just don't go to a Catholic Church and kneel in the confessional to repent your sin's or you may find out why there is a little trap door in the wall between confessionals, at least thats what I heard!!!!!:eek::yikes::grin-devilish:

Drive an hour south (and 1500ft higher) to the Springs. Bring 9ballpaul with you. And I'll give you $.50 for a bottle of Hank water.
 
In addition to compensating for deflection, spin, and throw, Colorado players have to compensate for altitude. Balls go further in our thinner atmosphere. The baseball go further at Coors Field than any other ballpark, golfers who want to see how long they can drive would be well advised to visit Colorado. Pool players here have to deal with consistently dry fast tables, and the thin air make the ball roll further. In addition to paying table time, some of our pool rooms even charge for water. Its sunny 300 days a year too. Its just terrible, everyone in California, Texas, and New York should probably consider themselves lucky and NEVER move here. ;)

Well I guess if Saint Peter doesn't let the Nits and the Welcher's into Dejesus Billiards they will have to go to Tartarus Billiards and from what I have heard people would gladly sell their Soul for any amount of water!!!!!!!:grin-devilish:
 
Himalaya Billiards in Nepal. Watch out for Sherpa Larry, the guy can bring it when there's serious rupees on the light.

IIRC, Aspen, CO is just shy of 8,000 feet in the town itself...there is a pool hall there.

If we are talking internationally, then I would have to say La Paz, Bolivia. There are many billiard rooms and many have both pool and carom tables. Few have a snooker table thrown in there as well. La Paz varies in altitude but the highest point is about 13,000 ft above sea level.

If we are talking about the US then I have no clue as the highest pool room that I have played at was probably in West Virgina.
 
I don't think I'd call it a full blown pool room but in Alma, Colorado, about 10,400 ft, the bar (A.O.B.) Has a pool table. Cute place.
