The average IQ in the US is 98.
In over sixty years I have not met a dozen people that didn't have higher than average IQ's. That tells me that there are a few of you that are really really pulling our average down!

reptile brain
My theory is that there is a certain group of people with an IQ somewhere between that of a doorknob and a turnip. The reptile brain at the base of the spine doesn't contribute to IQ but does allow these people to walk and talk with plenty of coaching. My theory is that these people are groomed from birth to work for the department of motor vehicles which is why they are always strangers to us and can't call the next number correctly or other high level functions like chewing gum without sounding like a cow in a briar patch.
