How do you go about suing a cue builder? Just want to get my cue back.

The right term is COULDN'T care less.
And the maker has been named.
Actually, if you look it up the two expressions are considered synonymous and both are acceptable. That happens when one "wrong" phrase is used enough for long enough that it becomes acceptable. I looked this up and one old example they give is, "It is impossible that I could care less," which of course is grammatically correct.

Another example of this, I believe, is "irregardless" instead of "regardless." Both are now accepted.

Frist call the police there, because this is theft.

Send a signature required certified letter saying you want your property returned immediately.

File in small claims court.
May have to do it where he lives, since the transaction was essentially done there.
Talk to the court clerk in your area and theirs.

If he doesn't show or doesn't prove his case, they lose.

Also out him here and everywhere.

Closer to kidnapping than theft. Cops won't get involved in shit like this. Good luck with courts too. They're all back-logg'd with cases and stuff like this would go on the waaay back burner. IMO knocking on the asswipe's door may be only way.

All of that work for what? I think you could care a little more! Lol

Wonder how many would JOKE about problem, if MISSING Cue was theirs,?
It's easy. I also wouldn't have waited for YEARS before I tried to get it back. 30 days TOPS!
When I sent it, that would have been in the agreement. If they said they couldn't do that, I'm rubber to the road and fluckin gone!

Words mean things…

Common usage by an over abundance of poorly educated, lazy people doesn’t change the fact that something is flat out wrong.

I agree in principle but it becomes "correct" when it is officially recognized. Think of all the words that have been bastardized over time into something else, yet are accepted. Just about every cajun word is wrong, probably even the word cajun itself, for instance.

I use "could care less" in speaking because it rolls out of the mouth a lot easier than "couldn't". I guess when you are saying that you are probably annoyed about something so "could" is faster and everybody knows what it means. How about this? You can say "I could care less" very sarcastically. That way you are intending to say that you really couldn't care less and it would be grammatically correct, right? Bottom line is that it is not wrong. It has become an expression that means something. It is not meant to be a literal comment. He ran out" like a bat out of hell." Well, bats don't fly out of hell so is that wrong to say? No, it's just another expression.

People “understand“ a lot of incorrect shit.

Is it the end of the world? Of course not. But by your own admission, it’s laziness, pure and simple.

I didn't realize I was editing my post rather than typing it. Please reread. It's more what I was thinking.
“Running like a bat out of hell” is grammatically correct.

Common usage notwithstanding, saying that you “could care less” when you’re trying to express a lack of concern, is not.

Again, not the end of the world, but laziness in general annoys me. Sadly, I find myself annoyed a lot. 😂😂

Look in The Urban Dictionary once. You be surprised how far worse it is then anything Dan said. You know what pisses me off more then bad grammar? Grammar Police!

You sure do.

The thing is that you're both right. He even agreed that in principle you're correct. But how something is interpreted matters especially if its evolved into an accepted expression. So you can't dismiss that, even if you don't agree with it. Its become accepted.

IE seeing a cue you like and saying "that's sick". Are you pissed that the cue doesn't have covid?

At one point in time you could go to small claims court, I had a problem with a car I sold and that venue was closed down due to covid , not sure if it ever opened again.
I used to think there were a lot of dishonest people around 40 years ago, it has multiplied a million times over since then. It seems like 90% of the people you deal with are trying to scam you some way. Even the really dumb ones.....mainly because there is no punishment if they get caught red handed unless you take matters in your own hands , which is insane in itself.

I know, it kind of sucks, doesn't it? Seems as tho this guy got scammed, can you believe it? And I bet that cue guy has a great reputation amongst people he's done business with in the past, too....so strange.

To the OP, I hope it gets sorted out for you soon.
