I may sound like a real novice and I am, but how do people find you on face book?
How many are using FB groups to sell now instead of AZ for sale subforum?

By the fact that most people already know who I am, so I get friends requests all the time then they have friends as well, so it starts the ball rolling to their friends who have friends as well. I can be found by my real name, Glen Hancock, as most ppl" on AZB are aware of and have been for years, I've been a member here since 2006.
Mike, I haven't looked at NPR in years! It has no relevance to me as I'm primarily interested in billiard related topics when I go to AZ. If NPR is also "clogging" up your system then why not just let it go. I for one wouldn't miss it.
I found you and also discovered I am on facebook. I looked on my list of pass words and there it was. I don't even remember signing up. I think I see a big advantage of facebook over just a web site which is what I have.
People feel like they know you on facebook, there is a trust factor created there. Everybody who goes in a business loves to say, "I know the guy who owns this place" or "Lets go there, I know the owner".
That seems to be what you get with facebook. Interesting.

I agree....Bye Bye NPR...The only people who will miss it, that participate in the main forum and for sale forum are a "few" of the same guys who are know it alls in all forums....or that come in the "pat someone on the back" for hating someone they hate.....NPR is gross, and makes this place look bad....
It has been mentioned quite a few times that there is a setting/addon for a vbulletin forum that
allows anyone to post in a certain thread but only when the op posts does the thread get bumped
to the top. Combine that with only allowing 1 post per 48 hours per thread from the op and there
you have it.

I don't visit the NPR section and to this day don't understand why it is a part of a billiards forum.
Maybe because people with a mutual interest in pool enjoy discussing meaningful things in life beyond the same old tired subjects here:
- Are LD shafts better than regular shafts? Which one is the best?
- Does the cue butt affect how the cue plays?
- Why do custom cues cost so much? Do they make a difference?
- Is pool a sport?
- Which chalk is best? OMG….Kamui chalk costs so much.
- Which tip is best? Nickel or dime radius?
- Do aiming systems work? Which one is the best?
- Who is the best player ever?
- How Earl is bad for pool. And what contraption is he wearing now?
- How CJ is just using the forum to sell DVDs.
- How AZ is running off pool pros from participating……lots of irony with that one.
- Who has Realkingcobra screwed over now?
- Which cue maker hasn’t delivered on time now?
- Why do Southwest cues have such a long wait list?
- How bad does the APA suck? And what about that sandbagging?
- How Corey Deuel’s break isn’t fair.
- How the Wanted / For Sale section sucks now.
- How ivory in cues is killing elephants.
- Bill Stroud sucks for not making the dream cue.
- Why is pool going downhill?
- Smoking in pool rooms…..is it bad for pool?
- The gall of Rhea for going on the road.
- OMG…..Roy Malott is just so mean.
- What is John Barton arguing about now? And he's a sell-out for going to China.
- How jump cues have ruined the game.
- And the all-important one…….just how big is Mike Dechaine’s head?
I'm sure I missed a few......there are just so many important ones that it's impossible to remember then all.
And in the irony of all ironies......what may be the most popular thread in the Main Forum ever (Funny pic/gif thread) is not about pool.

The bottom line is the changes didn't improve the Wanted/For sale section.. It made it worse...

There were people doing whatever it took to maximize their exposure , and there's always going to be a few that will try to beat any system.. Who cares??
A forum cannot succeed without participation..
Change it back, and work on a solution.. Right now you have nothing more than a failing sub forum..
agreed.... the interaction and information that many buyers and seller may not know is vital to making it work... find a way to let others post without bumping the thread or put it back the way it was and monitor it closely...my $.02

I know plenty about you by virtue of your business practices being publicly discussed here in the forum. And plenty of it is negative as you well know.
How do you know what I have contributed? You don't. But what I have not contributed is a history of bad business dealings which have stunk up the forum......so I guess you got me there - congratulations.
