How Much Is software for Brackets

I know the promoter or the streamer doesn't make any money off of putting the brackets online, but the stream in most cases is paid for by sponsors and PPV fans. Hand written brackets are better than nothing I guess, but to me it makes the production look very amateur and 2nd class. How much does the SW cost to run the tournament and show them online? If streaming is going to be a big part of the future of pool it needs to be done right. Three cameras and great audio and picture and then brackets scribbled on a poster board. Johnnyt

challonge.com is free. I am developing a similar site myself with some pool related customizations.

Tournament Pool Stats is a new fully featured tournament management package. It has been alive and well in Wisconsin only for the past several months. No other online tournament management package is specifically tailored to billiards tournaments like tournamentpoolstats.com. If you are looking for a replacement for paper brackets, offline software or other online bracket software feel free to apply for a tournamentpoolstats tournament manager account. CLICK HERE for Registration

Use of tournamentpoolstats.com is free of charge for all basic features including:
- Player management, tentative, confirmed, and waiting lists, etc.
- Payout calculators for both tournament payouts and player auction (calcutta) payouts.
- Tournament table assignments
- Match start time and duration tracking
- Finishing orders are available at any time
- Fully online published brackets for players and spectators

Advanced options like text messaging players when a match is called and scoresheet printing will have very light costs when introduced in the near future.

If you have any questions feel free to post there here, I'll do the best I can to answer them timely.

When I was assisting with a local tournament, I created a double elimination bracket in Excel, and it exported out as webpage (html format) that you can post online. If anyone wants it, please e-mail me.

To show overlays at Ustream (like a bracket or score) you need to purchase a pro license which is pretty pricy per month. I think it's the same thing for using multiple cameras.

Brackets

Let's not forget CSI and the www.CTSondemand.com.

We have had all our events on line for years!
And more stuff is coming soon.

Another vote for challonge.com. Linking to FB allows for quick access. And you can't beat the price.

Mark, I know you won't be at the BCA show (or are you this year?), are you going to SBE? I will be there with Alex and would love to say hi again. AccuStats, CSI and TAR (and it's legacies) are what modern pool is.

Mark, I applaud you for what you have done And for what you're trying to do but your brackets were not updated till days after the tournament ended!!! I think this is totally Unacceptable, within the hour of match end at the very least. I for one loose interest in any tournament where the brackets are not updated promptly. There is no excitement in watching a tournament without being able to follow a player to see him or her progress through the charts. Hoping that this long running issue comes out of the dark ages and begins to shine in 2015

Mark, is the CSI tournament software available to run tournament by anyone other that CSI or BCA? If so what is the cost?

Tournamentpoolstats.com is easily shared on FB as well. Very similar to Challonge, but has a ton of features related specifically to billiards. (table assignments and many more). Tournamentpoolstats brackets are updated live as tournament directors enter the scores, so spectators and players are always completely up to date.

Price of tournamentpoolstats.com is also free, just like Challonge.

I use this package for my tournaments and it works great. Love the tie in with facebook and other social networking sites too!

The bracket software we developed not only lets you put in the score but link the YouTube video of the match right on the bracket. So if you want to look at it two years from now, you can not only see who won but also watch the match if it is one that was recorded.

All it takes is a little know how and desire. Desire being the key and what is missing in pool.

There's too many incompetent people in pool to use a computer.

The only desire they have with a computer is not pool related... :yeah:

Glad to hear Ken. Please let me know what you think of the software, and certainly if you have any questions shoot them over my way. tournamentpoolstats.com/leaguepoolstats.com is only about 6 months old so there are constantly new features being added so all suggestions are welcome as well. Thanks for taking the time to sign up, hope you like it.

Updating brackets

Curt-
The only time our brackets lag is if there is a lapse in the internet service. Are you sure you are talking about Ctsondemand.com???

The data has to be current to move along the brackets. It is all automatic from thee score sheets so I think your info is wrong.

If I am mistKdn, please contact me - thAnks.
