How would Nick Varner match up with tony cohan today?

I know the topic is 1 pocket, so I'm not really sure about that and who would win with what spot. In regards to Nick's play in general, I watched Nick play at his Pro 10 ball Event in Denver in 2014. He was running the event and was not only playing, but managed to take 3rd place! Some of the guys were just our local short stops, but many were good players like Hatch, Mad Max, Vidal, Haddad, Schmidt, Shaw, Gray, Compton, Corr, Ruben, Parica, Mika, and Archer for example. I watched a few of his matches and I couldn't have been more impressed. I kept waiting for him to wilt (just simply because of age and inactivity in pro level type events) against the young guns like Chip Compton for example, who had just ran a 6 pack I believe against one of our locals. Nope, Nick proceeded to to keep it simple and beat everyone in front of him except for Mica and Ruben. He played simple patterns, just accepting longer shots when easier to maintain the proper angle. I know this is the way you're supposed to play, but I know for some guys when they get older they need to focus on getting it a little closer. His ball pocketing was even impressive and he made the game look effortless. The crazy thing is, the pockets in this room vary from table to table, but the diamonds they were playing on had 1 with 4", 1 with 4 1/8th", and the rest with 4 1/2" pockets, so it's not like they were buckets by any means. I just couldn't believe my eyes watching the old warrior still breaking and running racks of 10 ball. So fast forward 4 years to now and I have no idea how he plays or if he really plays much at all, but at least 4 years ago in Denver, he wowed lots of sweaters and was a legitimate force to be reckoned with! Of course, this was was 10ball so who knows how he would have played 1 pocket at that time.

At the same tourney, I watched Compton absolutely roast Parica in some after hours 1 pocket action. No offense to Chip, he played great, but It was kind of tough to watch seeing such a sever decline from Parica. He played terrible in the 10ball too. Not long after that, it seemed you just never really seemed to see his face in the bigger tourneys
