How's my position play?

nice shot on 7 to the 8........

but that's because you played poor position from 6 to 7....and probably 5-6 too..actually all of them =P this runout could have been much easier.

nice shot making. position needs improvement a lot ....but this is a small sample so who knows maybe you play better position than what the video shows.

You came up out of the shot really bad on the first three shots. It looks like you're hitting the ball harder than you need to on most shots to get position. Hitting the 8 ball half the speed you did would have gotten you a much easier shot on the 9. You hit a really nice shot to get on the 8 but a better placed CB on the 7 would have made that a much easier out.

Since you asked. I agree with the members above. Nice shot making, good position...not so much. Johnnyt

Now that your a TV Star, when you going to be ready for a rematch. Still got that $20 with your name on it:D

Good shot making. A seemingly good knowledge of the action you get from rails and english.

Once again I suggest posting a 30 ball run in straight pool. It will provide much more info if indeed your interest is to have your position play reviewed rather than your shotmaking.

But from what I saw, not so hard, and more precise on the CB.

Good shooting.

I like your passion for pool and I'm sure you destroy most of your peers.

Practice position only for a while. Put a piece of paper on the table as a target and set up shots aiming at the target.

Also consider playing virtual pool on your phone often enough so that you don't take so long to figure out the obvious shot on the reality table.

Three things that can help

Finesse
Be more specific to where you're playing position you, make sure you establish your lines and try no to cross them
Learn to listen to the table - having the wrong angle, instead of force following the six with fancy outside English, you could have just rolled it in and shot 7 downtable in the brh corner.
No doubt you're a good shotmaker but keep it simple, go watch some buddy hall videos - sheer poetry in motion when he's in full flight.

Out of shape on every ball except the 8. Blasting with twice the speed required for any shot in pool other than the break shot.

And half of the entire video length was spent looking at the 7 ball. I wanted to take a cattle prod to my laptop.

Reminds me of myself when I was young and hadn't realized how little I knew yet.

1-6 hit far too hard. The right choice but just over hit.

6-7 were you intending to run past the 7 for the 7 in the top right? If I were where you were on the 6 I'd have shot it with follow and inside running english - come 2 rails for the 7 to the top right leaving a standard follow shot from top rail to bottom.

7-8 really nice shot and judged the pace perfectly. Can't say much more other than it was the only real shot you had, and you got perfect position on the 8.

8-9 over hit. Left your self a much tougher shot on the 9 than you wanted. A softer pocket speed shot would have left you an easier shot on the 9. Wouldn't have had to contact the side rail either from the look of things.

But hey, you ran the balls and that's all that matters. I'd try to land the right side of the balls though. 1-6 and 6-7 are both examples of how landing the wrong side makes life harder.

Way to slow. Players have to put up with slow play in tourneys, but if you want action, you will have to speed up your play. Nobody likes to play slow players.

why would you put this one up then lol:scratchhead::scratchhead::scratchhead:

Idk i like my 7 ball shot so much just wanted to throw it up. Ya I played bad position. I wanna see you guys make that shot when your playing some cheap sets with someone. Lol

I really hate to pop your bubble, but any B player and up will make that shot all day long. Nice shot for you to make "under pressure" when you aren't used to making those though!

If you ever go to just practice, set it up again and hit it softer and at 7:00 on the cb. The english will carry you around table for the eight.
