The title says it all :D:thumbup: ....just need your opinion guys...is it ok to raffle it for $35 a spot for 42 spots available...I don't want anybody to think that it's too high price for just the case ...i just want to be a reasonable raffle to everyone...not trying to get a profit from the case...half of the money will be send to my niece back home *philippines* for her school tuition...and half of it will go to the new cue that i might buy :) ...oh by the way i will not include the shoulder pad which my name is on it :D..but if you want it i will include it to the winner...just want your honest opinion :) ...

Well you have 3 Spots apparently committee to, you cause sound worthy, and that is a Very Nice Justis 3 x 6. Good luck in the a.m. when you wake up and find you have people lined up to buy the remaining spots.

No way that case cost $1470 ($35 x 42 spots). In all fairness, you should lower the amount to coincide with how much the case cost originally.

These raffles are NOT for people to soak participants for profit.

I doubt that case cost anymore than $800, in which case, the spots should go for about $19 or $20 dollars a piece.

It's getting pretty stupid how much people are getting for these raffles - case in point the Justis 2x4 going now at $20/spot for 46 spots... You think that case cost in excess of $900 like the seller is getting? Hell no. I think he bought it for $600.

If you guys don't like them, then don't buy. Granted they are making a little bit more than what it's worth...but you're getting a chance to buy a case that's 800-1000 for 35.00. That's the whole point. With the economy right now, at least someone is able to sell this way. Plus they have to eat paypal fees, shipping fees, and if they aren't happy, a possible refund. Plus it takes time.....JMO

thank you for your opinion...if you read my paragraph i was just asking for anyone's opinion...if majority says $25 or $30 per spots then i will follow it...as i said i don't want to get profit on this raffle..i just want to give someone a chance to own a beautiful Justis case just under $50....i am not forcing anybody to buy a spot ...if you don't feel buying the spot no harm done on both side....just be advise please check Jack pricing at www.justiscases.net and you will see how much total i paid for this case which is over 1K + shipping...plus i have to pay paypal fees and shipping to the winner...raffle is not easy and this case is 99 percent new...

Nevertheless, I think this case is almost sold just wating for the payment....and thank you to others that are interested of buying the spots...green reps for you guys :thumbup: :grin:
 
I don't know why people keep saying raffles are not easy. Raffles ARE easy. You sit back and collect the money then ship the item.

I made $420 on my raffle. Paypal fees were about $15. Shipping was $30. I still made $80 profit.

All numbers were sold in one day and everyone paid by the next day. Running a raffle was one of the easiest things I've done.

it is in comparison to just making a sale outright. in which case a raffle is a lot more work. it's definitely easy to do but there is work involve. in any case, making a direct sale is infinitely simpler than running a raffle.

I am sure he would be more then happy to issue a refund. Heck, I bet he would give them double their money back, as long as they ship the case back to him. :thumbup:

That's still a 20% ++ markup :). $80.00 is probably for the time to manage the raffle...have to add people to the list and keep track of guys that paid and havn't paid. It's a lot more work but you get more for the item sold for sure.

It shouldn't really matter what the profit margin is...
The only question should be if the item being raffled is worth the price
per spot to take a chance...

I don't understand why everyone is so concerned with how much money
someone is making...Jealousy?...Perhaps.
