After asking questions, calling all over, It just fell into place, was looking at GC III's, but this was too good to pass up. A like new GC IV with 4 dome light, house cues/2bridges, perfect Centennial balls and wood rack. 2150, It was 650 over budget, but this was soooo nice I had to go for it...it was worth it.

The problem was I needed to pick it up the next day, last Sunday. I got ready with a trailer to pick it up when last second I called AZ member Rob, from TableTek who I knew was about an hour away (I was 2 1/2 hours away). I never ever thought I could get someone in less than 24 hours, and on a Sunday to boot, but I gave a shot and Rob came through.

And he did a Great job installing the table with Simonis 760 (my choice), and iron supports to avoid any possible GC IV sag. Rob was very nice showing me everything and Wow did I learn a lot watching him work, it was a pleasure to have him set up my table.

The way he did the pockets looks so professional, and after some time of playing, it plays as good as it looks!

Pockets are 5" because it's mostly a table for casual players, I'm still learning too, but I would have went 4 3/4.

Nice rings

What size is your room? I am looking at tables and want to see if I have enough room.

5" pockets and 760 cloth. That's a straight pool set up for sure. ;)

Enjoy it for years to come, I'm sure you will get as much pleasure out your GC4 as I do mine.

Great buy. I am currently looking at a Gold Crown III. Might need Rob from Tabletek. I would like to PM him. Do you know his AZ name???

You have the same set up I have, except I have a GCIII, 4 lights. I learned a lot watching my table taken down and putting it back together. I know I never will try and do it myself. Great looking table and I am glad you are happy. Tom

TableTek is his name here, good luck in your search, and It's totally worth getting a pro install.

congratulations!!!!! Im very happy for you,

I remember my first "real" table, it was a great feeling, then I had to move two years later.<----that really sucked, then I couldnt afford a table again for 10 years. It feels so good to be able to go down stairs and play. I have a few friends I play on a regular basis-thats really fun, we play ring games etc.

Edit: good move on the iron for the sag, I bought a GC4 once new from the BCA trade show through the Vegas authorized dealer(before I had the connections I do now) and It was fine for 7 years at my house I moved it to my new house and It sagged, when I sold it Glen put the metal on there, I wanted to make sure my buyer was happy, he is happy, he is here on AZ.

Also I like 5" pockets, it does make the game easier but the part I like is the you can shoot at the part of the pocket you want and create angles, that just arnt there on 4" pockets. I like 4 5/8" the best. 760 is great cloth nothing wrong with that. you have a great rig there. congrats again. make a few friends to play with cheap and set up player chairs and then you'll really have a good time.

I'm trying to see in your pictures but they're not very clear, could you take a better picture of the cloth on the end rail, on the top and under the nose and post:thumbup:

Glen, remember that day we went under the table and discovered that sag:eek:, I couldnt believe my eyes. On a side note the GC5 has been up a year and still rolls off all over the place-its a nice table but I never seen a table that didnt settle in a years time, this thing is in constant motion, some rolls disappear and new ones appear-in addition to the regular ones. I'm not real happy with the GC5 if they are all like mine.

Nice work Rob. I see some of Glen's influence.

I see some of them as well, but I didn't show him how to install cross grain rail cloth, which is what causes the zebra strips on the tops of the rail cushions;) needs more understanding as a mechanic, and practice on the basics;)

Glen

Welcome to the club sir. If you have half as much fun on yours as I have mine you are in for a good time.

Beautiful table and nice job on the pockets. Hope you have many enjoyable hours playing on the table. It's well worth the investment.
