The smoked grey is Buckeye burl... Pictures dont do it any justice at all.

I for one, am a huge fan of the hook joint. Locks up tighter than a bank vault and plays exceptional! Do they come in any other material other than brass? I'd like an ivory tip on platinum if possible!
