I Got Spammed By Varney!!!

During last nights TAR broadcast of the Schmidt - Kirkwood match, I got a private message in chat from VARNEY trying to sell me one of his cues. Something about get your order in, yada yada yada. Once I outed him in the main chat, he exited the broadcast immediately.

I have stayed out of the Varney threads, criticisms, etc. but this spamming by him was out of line. I wonder how his mind works that he thinks that it is professional or ethical to go onto someone else's webcast that he isn't even a sponsor of to solely try to drum up business. TAR has been good to so many of us & more than accomodating but I don't think the purpose of TAR is to accomodate the Kevin Varney's of the world & his sale efforts.

LOFL. Although it's not funny to be spamming on TAR's site, it is pretty damn funny and sad that he needs to resort to this type of marketing to drum up business.

Seriously, how many top name cuemakers do you know that would spam someone's site begging for orders. Sad really. I also wonder how many Cincyman stories there will be if he puts these new orders in front of others who have been waiting.
 
I am sure "he will be asked" not to participate in this thread like so many others. :) The funny thing is even if he came on here and gave an explination (not that there is any good one), based on his past, I probably wouldn't believe it anyways.

I blame people like Varney for ruining my family business. I'd like to strangle the lot of them. Over three generations it had grown to account for over 23% of the European processed pork and ham products market alone. Under my stewardship, seeing the writing on the wall, I closed all our high street shops and labour intensive distribution centres and installed the most comprehensive online shopping service in the industry. Last month turnover was down to $147.99. Have you any idea how difficult it is to sell spam on the internet nowdays?

agreed. it's a billion times more likely one of his haters just put in varney as his chat name to stir up some s**t.

This is an absolute lie Watchez. The moderators should deal with you for this type of lie/harassment. Not the first time you've taken a cheap shot at me. Very poor taste & classless.

Really, well I posted your message to me in the main chat for everyone to see in the TAR event. 135 viewers along with JCIN saw the private message that was sent. Unfortunately there was no way to save it. So please do not call me a liar. And I have never taken a cheap shot or joined the 'I hate Varney and his pathetic business practices threads'.

Think about this - if, what Varney and others are claiming (well Varney never did claim it was not him - he claims it never even happened) that it was not him posting in chat, why would the user run scared once I outed the private message. Someone that was portraying to be Varney would stay for more 'fun'. Someone scared that their user id or login could be traced would run.

Also, please look in the mirror before you call someone classless. Or at least search for threads (locked, deleted, or open) here for examples.
