Duh, I guess you did.

Don't forget the shaft. I like a thick shaft. 13mm. Something bigger than that so I can turn it down & use a taper. Someone give me the taper of a Southwest cause I want my cue to hit like a Southwest.
watchez said:Sounds good. I definitely want the Full Splice Blank because this is what my original question was about.
If the cue doesn't come out straight, I can always soak it in water and then put some heavy bricks on it to straighten it out.

By the way Tony, no offense, but what is the name of the cues you build? Sorry I have never heard of you. Website please.
Watchez, I dont ise Ivory very much in m cues.watchez said:Anyone else that would like to make a donation to my cue project, please feel welcome.
Willee - I know you have some nice Ivory laying around you could send me. You can keep the blue, purple, and green plastics in your shop.
Tony Zinzola said:I'm trying to help you out. You have to stop insulting the other cuemakers.
For the record, while that blue cue might be ugly, I think it is pretty cool.
I don't expect veneers. The blank won't have any. Per our deal in PM's, if you are successful with this one, your next blank will have some veneers. Beyond that, it is 100% up to you.
Dave38 said:Hey Watchez, your a real piece of work, Why don't you do your part to help with the Global Warming problem and just unplug your computer, nothing productive is coming out of it except a bunch of fertilizer anyways...... If you don't know who they are and have no respect for them, then you sir have no business being in this area of the forum, Just My opinion! I've gotten to know Tony alittle and damn glad to have made his aquaintance. All the above have earned the respect that is given to them, they have class, and have made contributions to make this business a better one.
I'm done wasting my time on your thread, I have to go get alife, so I guess I better get going before the stores close....

watchez said:Sweet Tony - I haven't even finished my cue yet (actually haven't even started except for what is in my mind) but you are already calling me a cuemaker.
Thanks,

If this is the reason for your thread, and the highlight of your nite, I guess you're very shallow and a pretty cheap date to boot. So, who's really going to be the one that builds your "cue" for you??????Seeing that your own admission was that you were clueless, or were you just pulling our leg? as you snuck in your attack on Varney? I'd think some Youtube video of you actually doing the work, and explaining it as you go would help your cause. Shouldn't be to hard in this day and age of cameras. And a follow up video 2 months later to show if any warping, or flaking finish issues would be nice also, along with a third party confirmation that it's as you say it is, and that your the one who made it, remember, it's about honesty and integrety! It's easy to run one's mouth and make statements and promises, and to run down someone elses product, on the internet, but the proof that yours is good enough or better needs confirmation other than just pics and you saying so. Remember, your the one that made the statements about how good you'll do, and how much better you'll make it.watchez said:Note to Dave - I now have the 33rd most viewed thread in this area of the forum of all time, and climbing.

And yes, I do have a life, I bought one at Walmart last nite, at a price busting deal...

Nice cues Michael. Good classic look and they look as if you didn't use the full splice blank method. Even better.Michael Webb said:To Watchez:
You played this entire thread like a poker hand, I think you might have actually kept the upper hand for the whole thread too!
