As I browse through these threads of woe over the IPT rollercoaster, and how everyone is ready to lynch KT, they don't believe anything he has to say, blah, blah, blah...I would like to point out one thing. If the male professional players could do anything for themselves, in any way shape or form, they wouldn't be in this predicament. But because they have demonstrated that they cannot, for whatever reason, they continue going through life acting like Willy Wonka is going to personally send them a Golden Ticket because they are the allmighty chosen few who can play good pool.
First KT is a genius and everyone wants to stand behind and support him for taking up the great cause of professional pool, now because his business plan is not going according to plan you want to sue him, he's an idiot, he's fishy this and we all should have known - get real!! What does he really owe pool? or its worthless, ungreatful players for that matter? He is trying to run a business - something the male players have refused to do for themselves in the way that the female players have. I challenge the litigious bashers out there to try and comprehend what it means to run a multi-million dollar enterprise - I am not pretending to know what it takes - but I know enough not to bad mouth something I know I am incapable of doing myself - when are these players going to grow up and be responsible human beings? If they don't want to be - fine, quit sitting in judgment of someone trying to do something you're not willing to do yourself. You don't have to risk participating in case it doesn't go according to plan...any of these players could have waited to see if it was really going to work if they were really that skeptical.
In a successful business model - you have customers who want your product - the male players can't get past thinking of what is owed to them to figure out how to have a viable product...and here's a guy trying, it isn't working out as planned, and who exactly are the losers here? I would bet dollars to donuts that Kevin Trudeau isn't anywhere close to even and if the ship sinks, I would also bet dollars to donuts that he loses much more than travel money, expenses in Las Vegas for a week, and a little bit of time doing something he enjoys...so who is the loser here if the IPT fails - is the sport of pool and its players worse off then they were before - doubtful. The only thing I really think is crappy is the qualifiers - the hopefuls that have put up $2000+ trying to get themselves a spot for next year, when next year might not even be.
Seriously though, think about it...is it any wonder no one with half a brain wants to do anything for pool?
