As I browse through these threads of woe over the IPT rollercoaster, and how everyone is ready to lynch KT, they don't believe anything he has to say, blah, blah, blah...I would like to point out one thing. If the male professional players could do anything for themselves, in any way shape or form, they wouldn't be in this predicament. But because they have demonstrated that they cannot, for whatever reason, they continue going through life acting like Willy Wonka is going to personally send them a Golden Ticket because they are the allmighty chosen few who can play good pool.

First KT is a genius and everyone wants to stand behind and support him for taking up the great cause of professional pool, now because his business plan is not going according to plan you want to sue him, he's an idiot, he's fishy this and we all should have known - get real!! What does he really owe pool? or its worthless, ungreatful players for that matter? He is trying to run a business - something the male players have refused to do for themselves in the way that the female players have. I challenge the litigious bashers out there to try and comprehend what it means to run a multi-million dollar enterprise - I am not pretending to know what it takes - but I know enough not to bad mouth something I know I am incapable of doing myself - when are these players going to grow up and be responsible human beings? If they don't want to be - fine, quit sitting in judgment of someone trying to do something you're not willing to do yourself. You don't have to risk participating in case it doesn't go according to plan...any of these players could have waited to see if it was really going to work if they were really that skeptical.

In a successful business model - you have customers who want your product - the male players can't get past thinking of what is owed to them to figure out how to have a viable product...and here's a guy trying, it isn't working out as planned, and who exactly are the losers here? I would bet dollars to donuts that Kevin Trudeau isn't anywhere close to even and if the ship sinks, I would also bet dollars to donuts that he loses much more than travel money, expenses in Las Vegas for a week, and a little bit of time doing something he enjoys...so who is the loser here if the IPT fails - is the sport of pool and its players worse off then they were before - doubtful. The only thing I really think is crappy is the qualifiers - the hopefuls that have put up $2000+ trying to get themselves a spot for next year, when next year might not even be.

Seriously though, think about it...is it any wonder no one with half a brain wants to do anything for pool?

I love how some people always want to put the blame on pool players just b/c it is a back room sport that has a gambling reputation. No one is asking KT to continue this magical tour and take everyone down the yellow brick road, they are asking him to pay what he owes up to this point. Yeah businesses sometimes fail, but the structure of the IPT isnt the players faults! As I said once before, people who defend KT are just a select few that cannot see the true light. If Bill Gates had started this tour and the same things were happening, people might not worry as much b/c they know his business reputation and his credibility. KT, on the otherhand, has a long record of being a scheister and a con artist. I will give KT credit for one thing, he has shown that there is a life-form lower than the reputation of our sport.

The mistake was taking him at his word. All you have to do is go back a years and read the interviews with the guy. He said he would fund the tour, and now it seems he has no money, and make no mistake, that is the REAL problem, he can't pay. He can make all the excuses but he will never actually come out and say he is broke. He has yet to explain why the need for outside funding when it was supposed to be fully funded.

He makes it sound like "Why would anyone think I would pay out of my pocket in the first place? Do you all think I am nuts or something". Well, people do it all the time, they are called "Patrons" and that was what he presented himself as. People put up money all the time for things they are interested in without any real expectation of return, they just write it off. My wife spent $20,000 last year on her repertory theater group, you do it because you want to and enjoy it.

I used to put on tournaments out of my pocket and rarely made any money, I didn't care. So it was easy to see someone with supposedly the resources he claimed putting up a few million to fund some pool tournaments if they are really a pool lover and want to be angles or patrons. It is not even that much money in the grand scheme of things.

All that happened was, he made a pledge and reneged, why, he is broke and can't admit it and what money he does have has to be invested in his book company that is floundering. He can send all the announcements and make all the promises he wants, but you can't get blood out of a stone.

It sounds as if you should take your own advice.

What does he owe pool? Nothing.

What does he owe the ungrateful players? 3 Million.

You know enought not to bash something you know nothing about??? Why are you bashing the players???

In case things don't go according to plan, you don't have to participate ????
That's true enough. But, I think what most are most upset about is that the IPT never followed the plan. The players did..

With every single utterance KT proves exactly what he is. He continuously digs a deeper and deeper hole for himself. He sounds more and more like a 13 year old trying to talk his mother out of house restriction. The man is constantly in a victims stance and in case you haven't noticed, few are ever sympathetic to someone who is not accountable. As long as he continues this stance, not many are going to be sympathetic to this whining child.

I think that is from Iron man??? Just copied and pasted it but really...

...A long record of being a scheister and a con artist? similarities between him and so many pool players out there? hmmm, sounds a little like the pot calling the kettle black.

There isn't going to be any Prince (like Bill Gates) riding in to save the Cinderella pool players - again, why don't they take responsibility for the profession that they want to make their living at instead of whining about some fairy tale life they think they are due. I just want to know what it is that the world owes pool players? The world - nothing, Kevin Trudeau - nothing - if his business plan doesn't succeed - tough - they sure were willing to go along with it when they thought they had found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...but now when the guy is struggling to make it work - who is really getting abused here? If he can't make it work, at least he had the balls to try - you all better look up the definition of heart - because it doesn't say anything about seperating the local chump from his wallet.

Oops - I guess it was southpaw that had such enlightening words of wisdom - hang on tight southpaw - I am sure Bill Gates will be by shortly to write you that blank check...

LOL...how can you say he doesnt owe them anything?? They held up their end of the bargain by traveling and playing and havent been paid! And as far as I know, KT hasnt been man enough to step up and say "hey, my plan didnt work..." all he has said is due to Bush....due to the Ho deal....due to FedEx....He is passing the blame to everyone except himself. And the definition of heart doesnt say anything about getting away with swindling once, so try try again!!!!

Southpaw

And I didnt say anything about Gates coming to save them...I just compared a legitimate business man with a con artist.
