I liked it so much, I did it again!

Had my second Lasik done yesterday. My vision is still"cloudy". More so than the first go around. My eyes had a burning feeling afterward as well that was not there the first time.
Oh well! I only have one way to go from here.

Best of luck to you on a seeing clearly. I have floaters in my left eye and an astigmatism, as well.

I would really like to get that surgery. When I work all day at teh computer and have little sleep, my eyesight is blurry at a distance. Otherwise, I can see 20/20, but need glasses for reading and computer.

I may have to look into this. Tiger Wood's eye surgeon is in Silver Spring, Maryland, BTW, which is 5 minutes from my house.

Hang in there. It can only get better! Everybody I have spoken to agrees it was the best thing they had ever done. I hope it is that way for you too. :)

Thank You! It is already better in many ways than the first time. Things aren't as distorted as the last time, and that even got better as time went on.
The "cloudiness" will clear, it's just taking longer for some reason this time. Last time it was clear by the next morning.
The second operation was due to my astigmatism returning. It was pretty bad to begin with. I knew it was a possibility.
I hope it's the last one. It's not exactly fun.

It is a great investment, money well spent. Some do one eye at a time. Choose your doc as you would a brain surgeon. The worse your vision the more impressive. Befor surgery, without glasses, I would not drive or hardly do anything. More zaps mean more halos, which go away slowly. BTW, I think the deck hand on the Tuna.com boat on Wicked Tuna TV show looks like Keith!

Speedy healing to you.

I'm so scared of even touching my eyes or watching someone put in contacts. Too big a baby for LASIK. Lol

My hubs had it done back in 2000, he is due for the second one. I'm not sure he wants to go through it again and has reverted to glasses.

When did you have the first one done?

Best of luck with the recovery.

I have mine scheduled for the 12th of April. Can't wait to finally get rid of the contacts.

I don't even like to read anymore. :(

Oh, man, you are so right about that deckhand. I can definitely see the resemblence between him and a young skinny Keith.

The middle of last June was the first one.

I tell ya' if anything can go wrong, it will with me!
I had an eyelash in my left eye, under the contact that was put in.
He had to yank that out before removing the contact, for whatever reason?
I now have more drops to put in then yesterday.
No wonder it hurt so much ! :(
Geebus!

I had mine done 5 years ago, best thing I ever did. My advice is get them both done at the same time! Much easier that way, I wouldn't have liked going back again.

Jennie, I did too.
Got Lasik in January and my vision is now 20/15.
Amazing. The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner.

JAM...I too have a floater in my left eye, and need glasses ($2 readers) to read in poor light (I can read a phone book in direct sunlight). My optometrist told me that lasik would not remove the floater, and that I just needed to keep an "eye" on it, to see if it worsened (it hasn't in the past 3 yrs, since it first appeared). Don't know about correcting the astimatism.

Paul Hebert!

Actually speaking of Paul Hebert, first mate on FV-Tuna.com. Much more like Keither than the younger fellow. But heh you may know better than anyone I would think. Either way I am positive Keith looks like somebody! Everybody has a twin somewhere they say. Total strangers say I look like Alan Jackson! Squint hard at my Avatar! Harder dammit!

The Hebert family is a pretty old family in Gloucester, I went to high school with some of his relatives there. Jimmy Reid may even know or remember some of their family as well. Small town like Glosta everybody knows everybody.. I loved commercial fishing there and had lots of fun learning to play pool at Nick's Pool Room, it's gone now but not forgotten! Back in the 70's we used to catch and release giant bluefin tuna for sport!
