I played my first perfect set of 9 ball yesterday in a tournament at Kolbys yesterday. We are playing races to 5 and there were 21 players in the field.I played a friend of mine Tom who plays pretty well and we usually have good battles.I did not miss one ball in the race to 5 and ended up winning 5-0,that might not sounds like much to some but to me its alot considering 9 ball is not my favorite game and its a game that I dont play too well I feel.I ended up going on to win the tournament having only one hill-hill match, otherwise I dominated the field which felt good.Well I am patting myself on the back right now and eating left over Outback for breakfast,woo-hoo isnt life great!

good shooting, mabey it will become a routine thing.
Thanks and I hope it does but the next set I shot so-so,I think it is just a game I need to play more often and learn to like it so to speak.I play some other games better because I really like those games and enjoy it,9 ball is kind of point and click,a game like one pocket has so much more going on.

Great job. 9ball is not my favorite either and I have problems with it because I do not like it. I too am trying to get that out of my head (or as you put it, trying to learn to like 9ball).

That was some nice shooting, Lenny.

You've been taking lessons from San Jose Dick on how to knock your own action haven't you?

trust me Joey, one of the best hustles ever is to tell everyone exactly how well you play without showing them....

You'll get more action than you can handle in some cases....

I still have to get with Dick on some lessons,I think he has alot to show me.One thing I know for sure is if I go on the road I wont need much gas. :embarrassed2:

Kind of like the guy who walks into a bar and says "I will play anyone in here for big money,I am the best player from Oneonta!" or something. :p

Way to go Lenny, Maybe I should hang around Kolby's to pick up some "not missing" pointers from you in 9 Ball considering I missed more than I made my last trip up there.

It is too bad you were not streaming so that you can see what you look like playing perfect. Playing 9 Ball instead of one pocket will help you with pocketing and running balls which will translate to better one pocket performance in the long run.

Go git em.

I agree and perhaps that will be what makes me like 9 ball,is thinking that if I can play 9 ball better I will play one pocket even better.I wish I could have recorded it but I would look like more of a tool then I already am with doing the live streams if I ran from match to match with my cues, case and camera/tripod,haha. :grin-square:
BTW George I know you and Muaz can both play better for sure as I have seen you both play better, you just both had a tough time, perhaps next time you guys match up it will be a better.

Maybe

you should go on the road with the name Lenny Briscoe??? :D

Did your opponent sell out to you every leave they left or what? Or did you break and run all 5 games?
