Dean, my man... cues and cases are designed with looks in mind..
even sneaky petes differ from maker to maker. Words aren't enough
to describe a design... think about buying a nice watch without any
pictures!

I'm sure you have a smart phone or digital camera.. take a little time
to post pictures.. it'll be worth it !

Two thoughts on this. When you sell your mystery cues I think those are cool. And everyone seems super happy with them. When you are selling a high end cue you should post pics.

Now I know there is an element who always feel a need to complain because I don't post pictures

On these threads I have tried to paint a picture ,to share more the feelings that a man might have when he makes his investment and chooses something as close to him as a personal cue

I am not asking if you like or dislike pictures

i wanted an opinion of the story style threads

If you don't post pictures, you will miss a lot of sales opportunities. I would post pictures personallly and highly unlikely to buy without pics.

Speaking of itrader, is it really even a big deal anymore? Anyone with a lot of feedback knows that it’s centered towards the newer / less active members. Over the last 10-15 years I’ve sold a lot more than I have bought. When you sell an item you are far less likely to receive feedback than when you purchase something. Many many times I have had people say please leave itrader and I’ll do the same...only to receive nothing. Is it prudent to remind them or just chalk it up as someone looking to get their green up but are to lazy to reciprocate? I’ve given away more cues for free than a lot have sold, and in those instances it felt just as good or better than selling something. I’m far less of a cue dealer when it comes to buying, selling and trading than a lot in here. I’ve only had roughly 500-550 cues over the last 18 years, more than 75% of which were bought and sold on here. Just for funsies. I donno know, maybe we’re all doing it wrong

You asked for an opinion and I gave it.
Call it tough love or whatever.
I tried to be as kind as possible.
I probably said what others are thinking.
I'm an old guy also and people have been kind enough to tell me when I'm slipping a bit mentally.
Some have even been nice enough to tell me when i'm out of line.


Take it as criticism to help,not hurt.

Public Apology
the last week my wife put me on my strick diet to help my diabetes sugar
levels,i lost 8 pounds and my thinking has been more up beat like i used to be

truth be told i have run my mouth on here,rambled and been grumpy too

now that i am feeling sharper i can see that,i do owe an apology

i might have old timers, but i am hoping its the sugar and i can control it

What do the naysayers know, they wouldn't buy any thing anyway.
I've borrowed more expensive cues,made by the most elite cue makers
in the country than anyone. I've never let a lack of pictures stop me. I'ts
just like a box of chocolates, I never know what I'm going to get. If you
start doing pictures I will seriously consider finding a new lender. Is
your phone broken ?

I'm in the camp that will not buy a cue sight unseen and prefer, if possible, to hit some balls with it.

There are a couple ways, 1st is to upload on the AZ site and then embed them in the thread.

1. This works good for most file types.
2. You can do up to 5 images in one post.
3. The images can't be too large
