Agreed. Honestly partially made mistake of his handle cause I truly did not think that sounded like something he would say. Im not gonna make any excuses for anything he does or does not say on here but only speak to the character of the person I've known for years now and spent many a night at our bar racing downing rocket fuels. Hey Rick you up for some fuels? ( that'll get him back posting on this thread for sure ) ;)

OK... here we go.....

I got a call from a person saying I was being trashed on AZ so I looked and it sure seemed as if the person was right.
I am the owner...yes. But I'm not different from anyone else...I don't like to be trashed either!!!
I felt very offended!!!
I feel like Jaden could have handled things a little more differently......I'm sure most would have agreed. And did.
We had a bad snow storm and we closed early, period.
Does that make it right that someone gets so shitty? I would NOT think so.
Anyway, yeah, maybe I should have been the bigger guy? And just brushed him off but, it was very rude I thought?
I try my hardest throughout the entire year to promote pool and give out as much as I can!!
It's very tough out there these days.

Hey Wedge sounds like down that way is your neck of the woods so let me ask you, I was headed back to bmore from Rockville and we went through "downtown" Wheaton and I saw a room I wasn't familiar with. It looked open but didn't have time to stop in but been thinking bout going down sometime and checking it out. Sorry font remember name but do you know the place im talking about ( had an 8 ball on their sign ) and is it worth checking out at all? Thanks for any info.

A person tries to become a patron not once but twice and is unsuccessful and management instead of addressing the issues that led to the grievance BERATES the potential customer instead.

Thank you for the line JAM. Kinda sucks, didn't have the look of anything serious but thought it may have been a little good being close to CP and what not. Oh well doesn't sound like its worth the drive, guess I'll just go to Big Daddy's.

I'm sorry but a sarcastic sorry doesn't do anything for me.

You still haven't addressed the reason for my being upset. It wasn't because you were closed.

I tried calling and no one answered. Everyone said yours was the best pool hall and that you were open so I drive there anyway.

You were closed with no lighted signs so I drive to running out which was empty. I had been looking forward to playing so I was upset. I went and played at top hat the next day and then drive down to Stirling and played with black balled some. Then came back up and wanted to try your hall again because of what people said and because the tables looked nice through the Windows.

I called to try and ensure you were open and again got no answer and no voicemail. The Yahoo listing for you had no hours listed so i figured since everyone was saying that you were still open I would take the twenty minute drive anyways.

Again you were closed. So I posted this thread.

You know what I was going to drive down to Stirling to play in a tourney with black balled but I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and I don't want there to be bad blood, so if you'll be at your pool hall I will come there right now to discuss this like gentlemen and see if it can be resolved. If you're as good a guy as the people here that I trust say. I will happily retract anything negative ihave said here.

I'll need you to reply fairly quickly though that your both ok with that and that you'll be there.

i have come on here many times bragging about high pockets and praising tracys efforts to make to promote pool here in town . if he were to post what you did in your 1st reply i would come on here and flat out tell him he was wrong in handling it that way.

undoubtledly you ran a fine pool hall judging by people coming on here and defending you. i just don;t understand that mentality though. just because you do right 99% of the time does not mean people should not tell you when you screw up that 1%.

you may run a great place and may be a nice person face to face and you may do things to promote pool in your town .. but you screwed up in your 1st reply.

then here you justify your your response in the 1st post in a half ass apology. but its ok cause no bodys perfect. we all make mistakes .

just remember .....one awwww shit can take away a whole buncha atta boys.

Yeah Tracy is the best his is a great pool hall and to be honest a lot of the responses about Rick were the same people said about Tracy and one of the reasons i wanted to play there and was willing to keep going back.

Ricks got to respond soon or I'm heading down to Virginia. .

Im from sterling va and have had the pleasure of shooting over at Big Daddy's. I've met Rick and have always been treated with the upmost respect. If I called a pool hall and there wasn't an answer I sure wouldn't drive there but that's just me. There could be all kinds of reason it might be closed. Before I came on here and trashed any pool halls I'll take a look at how many have closed in the last couple years.

I see both sides. The issue I have is you should have called Big Daddy's today and ask what was up rather then posting on a public forum that hurts his business. Having said that I am sure Rick will invite you over tonight (He is there on Thursday evenings) and I am sure you two will iron things out and perhaps even become friends!
