I'd ask JAM why she never sent that signed dollar.
: )
I actually sent it a long time ago at the address you provided. Not sure why you did not get it.

has it occurred to you that this may just be a ploy to get you to send another dollar? :grin-square:
Mods, please repost this conversation over in one of the hustling threads.

Naw, she and I made one-dollar bet on a photo, whether it was Amar Kang or Tony Chohan. It was Amar Kang. I said it was Tony Chohan. I sent her the signed dollar to the address she gave, which I can't remember what it was now. I have deleted her PM that she sent me with the address. It was so long ago.
I may be a lot of things, but I ain't a welch.
The only thing I can offer is to deliver it to her in person at an upcoming tournament we are both present at, or in the alternative, she is welcome to come to the East Coast to collect. I will be happy to issue her a new one-dollar bill with my signature on it. But I refuse to spend $50-plus to send it signature required, Federal Express, from East Coast to West Coast. Ain't happening for one dollar, especially when I know I sent it to the address she provided.
In the past, for product, contests, and signed photographs, I have paid overnight delivery via Federal Express to members on this forum stating they never received what I had sent -- and it's happend two other times -- sometimes incurring the additional cost from Federal Express for signature required and overnight delivery, which ended up costing more than what the actual content was worth that I was sending. Very frustrating! Been there and done that. Ain't doing it for a dollar.
In one such instance for a $50 contest I held on this forum, the winner told me he never received a $50 check that I mailed. It was leaving D.C. and going to upstate New York. I asked him to please wait an additional week to see if it showed up. He did, and the check did not show up. I immediate send a new check via Federal Express, overnight delivery, signature required. Ironically, the day he received the new check, he informed me that the old check that I had originally sent to him had arrived, 3 weeks after I sent it. In this case, it costs me an additional $38 to send a $50 check a second time, not to mention my time involved in mailing it via Federal Express, driving to the FedEx outlet. :frown:
Wonder how many dissention posts this will generate. I can hardly wait!
(this is not a dissention post. I'm trying to HELP you)
If I was sending a signed dollar, I think I'd go with certified mail, return receipt requested.
7 bucks
Never had one take more than 4 days to get a 1st attempt anywhere in the lower 48.
Have had people duck them for weeks, though.
Imagine that, grown men hiding from the postman. . .

Great thread Brian!
Who?: John Barton
What?: Whether my assumptions are true that he sits behind his laptop sipping ice cold tsingtao, laughing his butt off over how wound up he can get folks.
I was at a big party on the 4th and I got talking to this guy who was speaking in code, hinting around if I smoked (I certainly look like I might).
How much code do you need in a big party to ask if a guy smokes weed?
And the code is 420.
Freddie <~~~ could use a coed...

I've got a lotta questions......
Why is there a 'W' in answer?
Wait no more, Mickey.
Who: Keith McCready
My Question: When *will* we see you compete again?
Shockingly, frustratingly, and I'm sure some other words ending in "ly" (if the first two are even words), I have never had the pleasure of seeing you play live but want to real bad.
Is it possible to compare Keith to Greta Garbo? I mean, sure they're both super sexy and all, but it goes way beyond that for me.
But that's a whole n'other thread.
So for now:
Mr. McCready; when will your legion of fans, including this chicken, get to see you play?
best,
brian kc <--- seriously considering going to Turningstone for the very first time this year. hint, hint.

Question for JAM...
Are you posting on behalf of Keith? I don't doubt he is saying the words, just wondering if you do the typing since you do it so well?
Not calling Keith computer illiterate either. I just picture the household something like this..
You on the computer..."Honey, someone's asking you a question on AZ". Do you care to answer?
Keith on the sofa with a beer..."What's it about"?
JAM..."Wants to know when you'll come out and play"?
Keith..."When we can travel without the dog getting sick and when my old lady will let me".
JAM...Ok honey, I'll paraphrase a little bit. :grin-square:

I sure hope he tore one of the checks up!
I will add that the ridicule Keith has gotten posting on this forum makes it so he really doesn't enjoy it much. There are others who feel the same way you do, so you're in good company.
Keith knows how to use a computer, FWIW, but his expertise lies in poker sites, not forum software.
