If you could have a stroke....

Being a lefty I would have to say Sigel or Rodney Morris. When Rodney is on I love how effortless he makes it seem.

Absolutely Steve Mizerak's stroke. Actually I have it down "pat" 99%.

The only thing left for me to conquer now is to be able to make a ball when I use it. :speechless:

shane van boening for me.....long fluent and effortless.head is perfectly still.he generates so much cue power while looking like he barely hits the cue ball.

Alex Pagulayan

no matter how much time he takes off from pool his stroke doesnt forget how to win.

Smooth as fine "Champagne"

Anyone who ever saw him play (in his prime) would not soon forget Ed Kelly's stroke. Probably the prettiest most effective lefty stroke ever.
(and most righties too.)

I think I would have to take Raymond Ceulemans stroke.

I figure with a stroke like that I could play just about any game at a very high level .

If you haven't seen him play (in his prime) it is truely a thing of BEAUTY!

I just don't quite get this. No disrespect to Allison I like her a lot, but there must be at least a 100 male snooker players who have a far superior stroke.
Yeah I agree. I would put Allison up there for long pots and straight-ins since her accuracy is so good, but when it comes to doing something with whitey that's another matter.

My fav is Sigel. When he gets in stroke, he has such confidence in his stroke it seems there's no way he's going to miss.

If we are talking about strokes alone:

For power, I like Luat's and Nevel's.

For accuracy, I like Allen Hopkins' (his stroke has the least amout of errors).

I'm a lefty - so I like the MIZ's stroke and have tried to copy it.

I'm a lefty - so I like the MOUTH's stroke and have tried to copy it.

Johnny Archer - so fluid and easy.

Nick Varner - so exacting....(I like his stroke)

Kim Davenport - the most solid stance/stroke you could ever ask for.

Jim Rempe - looks like what a textbook player should have.

Earl Strickland - one word....effortless.

Efren Reyes - natural and incomprehinsible.

I would just want to have one conglomeration, made up from all of their styles/strokes. I can't choose just one.

You beat me to it Dick. Ed Kelly I always thought, was the purtiest pool player I ever saw. It was quite effective too.

three names come instantly to mind:

Earl Strickland
Shane Van Boening
Jasmin Ouschan

So smooth, fluid, powerful, natural strokes.

Cory Deuel
Earl Strickland
Buddy Hall

Any of these would be like a peice of heaven to me (not in that order).

If you could trade your stroke in for any stroke you've ever seen who's stroke would you like to have? Personally, I'd go with Buddy Hall. I'm not very fond of his slow pace and the slight stop at the back end but my God that man gets a lot of action with so little effort. I've tried for years and years to emulate his stroke but it's definitely one of a kind.

I would take my husband's, Mike Zimmerman. Smooth, effortless and powerful. < the exact opposite of mine, sigh>

IMHO Efren's stroke goes back and thru as straight as one could want.
I'd like Jimmy Moore's for beauty, and Denny Searcey's for consistency. Also got to like Johnny Borba's stroke for purely natural simplicity.
