I would buy a piloted 5/16x14 ivory jointed Paul Mottey cue. The nicest I could get for under $2000 as you specified. I owned a cue like this and it was the best playing cue i've ever owned and i've owned cues with all of the different joint styles. The cue I had was a 4 point with veneers Hoppe style cue with no inlays and an ivory joint with matched predator shafts and it played so good I can't believe I sold it. I wanted something a little fancier with inlays and trim rings and that's why I sold that cue, but i've yet to find a cue that played as well as that one.gmcole said:good question.
