If you lost all you cues and could only buy one cue to play with, what would it be? I don't know if this is the right forum, but, I want opinions on what to buy/try next.
thanks-jeff

Do you have a price range? If the sky's the limit it would probably be a Schick or Balck Boar for me.

too hard of a question..... Are you talking about new or used. If new there are too many cue makers here and out there to choose from? If your talking about used the list gets a little shorter? :o

good question. No more than say 2000 range as it would be a playing cue. Colectability would mean nothing as this would be a player only.
thanks- jeff

Either. What would you buy to PLAY with.
thanks-jeff

Only one cue

I would do a Dishaw, OR Capone

I love my Dishaw but a Capone shoots so well it would be hard to choice

That's a very broad question with no requirements for price, type of hit, or style of cue. I think you'll get plenty of opinions for higher-end cues, so I'll give you mine for the sub-$1,000 price range.

$350-$450 Frey sneaky
$400-$500 Pechauer
$700-$1k Omen (Pete Ohman)

Let me put it another way. If you had $1000 sets lined up and lost your playing cue. What would you want to play with?

In that range, it would be a Schon LTD but not the standard tip they offer but a Sniper.
If the sky (up to $5K that is) is the limit and only one cue - Black Boar 6-pointer, Hercek or a SS half joint cue by Dennis Searing.

Enjoy your search!

You could get a really nice Bluegrass for that price, and they hit great.

This is my short list, current shopping considerations for new and/or used:

John Davis blank - sent to several cue builders?
Skip Weston
-R-
James White
Steve Klein
Verl Horn
Kornele
Mottey
Tascarella
Josswest
Scruggs
Richard Pettit
Murray Tucker
Jensen
Zylr
Richard Black -older than 2001-
Huebler

Don't try to read to much into this, the list order is not a priority list.
