If you had $4000 to spend on a cue...

What I would do.

If I had 4000 to spend on a cue I would order exactly what I wanted from my favorite cuemaker and not let anyone else thoughts influence exactly what I want.

All that aside all makers listed so far would be top choices though.

It would depends on my objective?

However, whether is for playability/collection/Investment/or all the above etc. I would only consider quality name cues and there are many on here for sales. Chady/Bill/Mike G./Doug and a few others always seem to come up with some really nice big cues that are great players/investment.

Do some research and figure out what you want in a cue and ask yourself why you're buying the cue. 4K give you a lot of option and room to get what you want in your cue.

Good Luck in your search. I think I already found my holy grail of cue so I'm done searching now......funny enough...it's a cue that i built for myself :)...just kidding...my Joel Weinstock in the nut...king of all the king Kong cues that I've ever play with.

The next $4K I've got to put towards a cue goes straight into Ernie's pocket.

If I was spending that kind of money on an existing cue I would certainly talk to Bill at Cornerstone.

I'd be afraid to play with a cue that $pendy...so it would be a display piece for me. Too much spent on a cue can get you in serious trouble in some places.

IF...I'd probably talk to Jack Madden or Keith Josey. Not considered as high up the pecking order as some others mentioned here...but they really make some excellent cues. $4,000...what? Have gold nuggets or diamonds as inlays?

I heard there are some Szamboti cues around $4000 available on here, but pics only on request. That would be my cue to buy. poolrod.

I concur wholeheartedly with this statement.

Haley, Showman, Tascerella, Searing can't hurt you any.

Guys with 4k cues in my experience tend to play where people have
a respect for the game, and yes some money in their pocket, not
sleazy sh!tholes of inbred meth addicts.

(translation: spendy, an Oregonian colloquial term meaning expensive)

I would make a trip to see Cornerstone, DWOB or Cuaddicts, or anyone else that has a lot of nice cues , I would play with all the cues he had, and pick one out that I really liked, I would not buy a cue I had not hit some balls with for $4000, that is just too risky (IMO)

I would buy my Lambros for $1500 and save the $2500 to invest in other cues , one at a time, to see if I could find one that would out-play the Lambros. I know I would do this because I did it. LOL-jeff
