Breaking down a Brunswick Annv tonight. Driving 3 hours and was wondering what tool I should bring. I have my drill charged up. I hope this is the right location for this. All help appreciated. Thanks , Jesse

I'm not a mechanic and I haven't worked on any Anniversaries but here are a few tools that you will probably need:

Sharpie: Make sure everything is labeled before you take it apart.
Bags: To secure all the bolts and screws.

You mentioned the drill. Have all the necessary bits and adapters.

Scott mentioned a socket set - you definitely need that. Make sure you have the screwdriver bit attachments too. You will probably have to disassemble some things inside the pockets. A long screwdriver probably won't get the job done.

You might need a sharp utility knife depending on what they used on the seams and some sort of straight edge. If they used bondo you'll probably want to cut it first instead of just popping the seam since you could chip up the slate or worse. I've never dealt with this but I think I read this somewhere.

Blankets or bubble wrap or something to protect your new table on the ride home.

That's about all I can think of off the top my head. Maybe someone who actually does this for a living will chime in and help you out.

Congratulations on aquiring a beautiful table. The BasementDweller and Scott Lee list the tools you'll need. All I can mention is that perhaps a dolly would be great for moving the slate to your truck and some rope to secure all the parts once they're on the truck. You may want to bring along a felt tip pen to mark the table pieces so that re-assembly will not be a problem. Good luck with your project.

You've been a member of AZ for over 5 years, and don't know about the "Talk to a mechanic" forum?

Well, you have been here quite a while and still haven't figured out how not to be a douche bag. Just answer his question and stop trying to be the forum police.

I'll post it there as well. Bought this table for too little. Woo woo. I bought it to sell it unless I decide to sell my gold crown. Anyone want a table delivered let me know.

I have an old Brunswick table installation manual that I scanned. If you want illustrated instructions on the Brunswick way of covering the table, let me know.

I can send you each scanned image.

Be prepared, there maybe square head bolts used in the construction--so bring some open end wrenches along also to dismantle the table,,,,all sizes up to 3/4 inch.

Take every screw bit you can find: phillips-head, flat-head, square-bit, star-bit, etc. Parts get changed out over the years, and don't be surprised to find two or three different types of screw-heads performing the same function (like attaching the apron).

Good luck. It sounds like a great find.

Well then, why don't you show everyone how smart YOU are and answer his questions yourself;) I do this for a living, as in YOU"RE telling me I should do this for free...and I'm a "douche bag" if I don't tell everyone how to work on their pool tables for free....YOU DA MAN!

Can I get on the Freebee list, please?

The only thing I'm telling you is that he asked a question and lots of other people were able to respond professionally, clearly, and directly. I know, I know, you are unable to respond like a normal person unless you are in the mechanics section.

I don't doubt that you have skills and abilities far above most table mechanics, but that irritating sandy vagina continues to get the better of you.

Oh, please point me to where I ever said you should do anything for free. Fool.
