I'm opening my dream pool room

Thank you kindly Joe.

You'll have to come up and check it out.

Do you remember the last time we played? I'll give you a hint. It was a scotch doubles tournament.

You guys played good, but it didn't hurt you to have king sharker on your team. When I couldn't win with the 2007 US open champion as a partner I figured I better go into retirement. Whose up between me and you gambling? All bull aside I always thought we had the best games because we respect each other and the game of pool. Of course I will come to see you guys... it is what it is....TITLETOWN, USA OF BARBOX POOL

JoeyA...I can tell you this...we (Cue Tech) have a 3-day road show pool school, scheduled for Labor Day weekend. I'm pretty sure Mike will be open for that! Randyg and I are both excited to see, and work in, Mike's new room!

Mike is worse than Geno. He sells it to you and then leaves you hangin.
At least Geno sends the product out after you pay for it.

I wish you the best of luck! It sure sounds like my dream pool room to go play to:) but maybe I would have more 9ft instead of a larger quantity of 7ft.

Why no one is opening up a room like that where I live?:frown:

Head up Fargo way and check out Page's new room and play in a $5,000 added pool tournament all in the same trip!

My Thoughts:

The name is unique. You need a unique name to draw people to a place. Once they are there, the food, atmosphere etc keep them coming back. Good name!

I guess 7ft is more popular from what I have seen in that area of the country. What IS imoprtant is that you have plenty of room for leagues AND walk-in business.

Private rooms are nice. Jillians in Raleigh (now closed) has some private rooms with tables and we used to rent them out for company events. Theyd provide a server just for our room too. Good idea.

No loud juke box. I like it. A big place shouldnt have one person control the music. I would suggest separate sound int he private rooms.

Good food is critical. I play at one pool hall at night, but during the day I go to a different hall for lunch and practice because they have a good rueben!

I suggest doing some things with other local businesses, like offering their employees 1/2 off food or free pool at lunch. if they come in, they will spread the word.

Your going to be glad that you dedicated so much room to the bar area. Alot of revenue will be made there. Also good food always produces a good turn around in the cost to profit ratio. I really like how you have all the tables segregated. The players will love being able to get into action any time without worrying about a leauges hogging tables and space. Very smart Mike. If you dont mind, ten years from now I might use your room as a template for my own.

According to their facebook page Fargo Billiards and Gastropub is scheduled to open August 16, 2009.

The menu items sound positively mouth watering, and for your drinking pleasure there will be twenty-four different beers on tap.

Fargo is a long distance away from NJ, but my crew of pool playing friends and I plan on making the trip come next spring / summer. I am absolutely sure it will be worth the trip. Mike Page is a first class kind of guy, and any business he is associated with will reflect that.

new pool hall

WE at " Mystic Billiards " wish you and your staff Good Luck on your new pool hall. Mary & jon

Jerry...I spoke with Mike yesterday, and he is indeed opening on August 16th.
I'll be there a month from today! :D

To see more get a facebook account and go to Fargo Billiard's page. They are not done yet, but by the looks of the pictures this will be by far the nicest room I have ever seen.

Congratulations on your room Mike, for a pool player this room will be a little piece of heaven.

Here is the link to the facebook page. You must be logged in to see it.

Fargo's population is about to grow by about 10,000 new pool players moving to town.

Mike,
This is truly an incredible room. I can only imagine what it looks like up close and personal.

I would hope that you would consider hooking up with one of the promoters to host a National Pool Tournament, preferably not in the winter if you don't mind. Weekends are GREAT. :-)

Many people live a life time in shallow slumber and never awaken to live the dream that massages the soul of your inner being.

I'm very happy for you.
