Incardona Fisher challenge match

Nah...you're WAY off. There are AT LEAST 25,000 who can beat her...maybe 50,000. And I know them all personally.

And Mosconi couldn't beat any of the top pros today...And Louis would have lost to Ali...And the 1927 Yankees were the greatest baseball team of all time.

Gimme some more time and I can come up with a lot more pointless and unprovable opinions.

(-:

Ali would have tortured Louis---Maybe one of the 1950's-1960's Yankee's teams were better...I'd take John S. over Mosconi, the safeties and kicks are better today. ohhhh it's pointless. Johnnyt

Billy I respect the fact that you are coming on here without a big ego and making a challenge that you yourself do not think you have the best of. There is no reason for anyone to be negative towards you and your challenge.

Frankly, I am surprised that you would want to challenge Allison Fisher. I remember during your commentary on the last TAR match... that you said that losing to a women was one of the last things you'd ever want to do. I think it'd be tough going into a match against the best woman player in pool with the fear in the back of your mind of actually losing to a woman.

I'd really like to see this match go off. TAR should try setting this match up. I think it would get a lot of buys.

Hey Ken. OF course a race to five. Who on TV wants to see a race to 50 ? Only pool geeks and pool geeks dont spend the money that NFL'ers or MLB fans spend. Ever see even 5,000 at a pool event ? Ever see one in a civic center ? (US open excluded). The sad fact is that you couldn't kidnap enough people to make this worthwhile to a TV network. And without that, I can go down to the local pool hall and watch guys cut each other up for $100 a set and get a cheaper thrill. Its sad that most dont' realize that right now, pool is nothing more than entertainment. No one cares who wins or loses because there is always another guy ready to step in your place. Ask Ginky what its like to return to the matches.

B,
No disrespect intended, but there is NO WAY that Allison Fisher is a worse player than the 500 best men in the world.

If I read your line right, you're saying that in the world, AF is not in the top 500 pool players alive right now, men and women combined? You are most assuredly wrong.

Sticking to 9 ball, I would say that she is in the top 75 in the world. Even that may be too low. She really is a very gifted player with ice nerves as well.
I am saying that there are at least 10 guys in the Carolina's alone that can beat her. In the world, lol , 500 is being conservative!

I saw first hand how most guys act when they get beat by a female. Back in the 1960's five of my friends put up fifty dollars each for me to dress up like a woman and hustle pool in a bar. Two of their wifes dressed me in some of their clothes, wig, and did my nails and make-up.

Almost evey guy I beat called me lucky, called me a lesbian, or left the bar right after he paid me. Everything was going good until late in the evening. At that point more of them were intrested in grabbing my ass than beating it on a pool table. The wifes made me look too good. But then again every women starts to look better the later it gets in a bar. Johnnyt

Ask yourself these 2 questions

How many people in each state would be favored over Allison in a long race?

How many people in each of the other Countries would be favored over Allison in a long race?

You can then ballpark a figure

LMAO Johnnyt...you surely took a photo of this?

I'm sure someone back in NY has a photo of that. I'll e-mail some of the ones that were there to see if anyone took pictures. I never had my picture taken if I could help it back then, but in this case I don't know why I would mind. I'll post it if I get one. Johnnyt

'Cardone vs Fisher -- very much like the 1973 Bobby Riggs vs Billy Jean King tennis challenge. Here's hoping this challenge happens, and especially here's hoping it catches the attention of the media!

the real issue is brains

No "woman" is smart enough to play quarterback in the NFL. Easy to prove, there aren't any out there!

Not surprisingly, Billy has it right. He can beat Allison, Allison can beat him. I give Billy a bit more credit than he seems to give himself while trying to set up this deal but anyone that thinks that either one is a lock is mistaken. Give Billy the race to fifty, give Allison a table set up for WPBA play and TV lights. It could be very interesting or a blowout either way, just depending on the given day. IF Allison pulls ahead by seven games or more at any point, it's likely to be over. She closes better than probably anyone alive except Efren.

I agree that there are hundreds of men that can beat Allison, but I doubt seriously that there are ten that she can't beat on a given day if they play using WPBA rules, tables, and a shot clock. I heard that the only reason that she didn't play Sigel was the deep cloth. Had the IPT given her the fast cloth the battle of the sexes would have been much more interesting.

I heard it was because Mike S. didn't want to play Allision. Johnnyt

This can be debated over and over. Allison kicks ass. But, she hasn't got the constant threat of multiple racks run against her Except by eight or ten other women. We'll never know. I will say this though, ask her. Ask Jeanette. How many men play better than Tony Watson in the world? I guarantee neither one of them will play Tony even, on their own cash, in a race to fifty or an ahead set. If they do. Call me. You can win all of the disposable income I have at that time.

How many men will play Tony even? Quite a few, I'd imagine. That is an honest perspective. Also, a side note. How many of you guys have actually seen the ladies gamble? You don't see it quite so much, now. But, a few years back, it was more prevalent. I am not going by what I see on TV. I've sweated and played a couple of them. Billy made this challenge for one reason, and if you think he believes he is trying to stretch out... you're wrong. You don't ask for a game you don't believe you can win.

I hope all you Allision/women haters like to gamble if this match ever comes off. Allison has no chance, Billy will torture her, 500 or more men can beat her= you'll be giving out nice odds. The window will be open here. Johnnyt

If there are two rules Ive learned from being around the pool game for about 40 years is NEVER bet on a game RA is in and NEVER bet against Billy Incardona.

Hey man, it's nothing personal. Just business. If I thought she could beat someone, I'd be pumping her up and betting on her. You could call her Billy Bob, if you want. Has nothing to do with her being female. She won't outbreak a lot of men, and string a lot of racks like a lot of the top men. And in a winner breaks format, you have to do both. Alternate breaks is another story. There are only few of the guys that I believe have the best of it.

I would like to play Allison a challenge match 10 ball race to 50 on a Diamond table with slightly worn cloth and 4 1/2 inch pockets. I don't consider myself in the top 100 players in the world and woul be very interested and curious on how it would come out.If I had to predict the final score it would be Fisher 50 Incardona 44.I would be willing to play for $5,000 and would be willing to get Allison staked if she chooses to exercise that option. In either case it would be fun,and interesting and then we would get a better read on her game. I need 3 months to get in shape if I possibly can get into shape. How about it Allison??

It would be silly NOT to do it, battle of the "sexes" just like Bobby Riggs and Billy Jean King in tennis, I think the outcome would be the same (female wins).
When the IPT did its inaugural pitch' with the Lori John Jones and Sigel match, I think a HUGE chance was missed by not having Allison play Mike, Allie could of won, could of been the shot in the arm the industry could of used, maybe this too could be marketed properly to the media....you never know.

I hope this match goes down. Just from the responses here, this match would stir up alot of interest and action.
