Is it true there is someone alive who doesnt have a DVR/tivo.? Sounds silly but once you get one you will wonder how you lived without it.lol....................................

I have 3 TV's connected to cable. The main one is H D with the DVR. The other 2 just have digital. I am constantly trying to back up pause or fast forward the 2 without the DVR.

I watched a lot of it. Every now and then, my wife would start groaning at some of the commentary.

The cutting away in between shots was unfortunate because much of the magic of 8-ball is the thought process, and not necessarily the shot execution.

But, overall, I obviously liked the fact that 8-ball was being played on TV.

I liked it. I try to watch it as entertainment, not study material like, say, Accustat tapes.

Talking to people that aren't into Pool, like my girlfriend, I get the impression that the IPT version is more interesting because it gets to the sizzle, rather than making you eat the whole steak. Cutting to the drama, similar to the WSOP on ESPN, seems to make it more interesting for those that aren't Pool diehards.

For that matter, I think whole matches can be purchased from the IPT, right? Anyone?
