Is Anyone Familiar with this Cue Extension

I use a similar one I bought at Seyberts (adjustable collet) that works extremely well. Mine is plastic and cost around $60. Works MUCH better than the ones with a sponge type material on inside where you slide in the cue butt and the sponge compresses around it.

I am looking to pick up a cue extender and was curious if anyone uses this one and can tell me a little about it. Looks to be of good quality and price. Thanks for any info.

Works just like my Longoni extender, but the one in the link is cheaper (priced) and made with aluminum.

I've heard people say that the screw-down collet COULD damage the finish on expensive custom cues, but I haven't had any problems with the cues I have used it on. You shouldn't screw it down very tightly anyway as this makes it damn hard to re-loosen (been there).

I'd say go for it!!!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I went ahead and ordered it, will be worthwhile after a shot I missed yesterday by overreaching and shooting with the cue farther in towards my body.

I just got one last week. Works well. You have to make sure it's on all the way and tighten down firm, but VERY heavy. Like 7.5oz. I came up with a solution for my next cue that Keith is building now. I think I will like that WAY better.

Not familiar, but I know a local cue maker that is having extensions made at an injection molding shop. I tried one of his prototypes and can say it's the best extension I've tried.

Whenever he gets the first batch I'll let everyone know.

Think these are the ones I saw at the Open...

Only thought on them was they seemed pretty heavy for an extension... Of course that may not matter at all since they are not gonna be used except as needed....

I have one of the Hager extensions and it's pretty light... It has the netting inside of it instead of a positive lock..

It's never scratched a cue and is invaluable...

Looks and operates much like the Longoni and if used wrong can mar the finish. The problem is when other people who don't know how it works try and remove it! Turning anything but the collet will mar finish. Only takes once. I just use it on a bar cue or an older cue. I would never use it on a nice cue. Even used correctly there is some movement as it tightens. I use it every day in our golf game on a six by twelve snooker table.

Cue extension

I have the one shown and it works very well. Used carefully it won't damage the finish. If you have an expensive enough cue you'll use it carefully. Can't remember using an extension for more than one shot though. Also have the Hagar extension and like it too; especially the lining material. My cuemaker made me one that screws into the cue butt and it feels the most natural of all of them.

I have had the extension for roughly a month, used it a few times and it goes on solid, no damage to the butt and is well built, I highly recommend it.
