Is pool too easy for Alex?

Sometimes I wonder...is he the next great, a la Efren? Maybe "next" is inappropriate, as if he isn't at the top already.

I think pool is too easy for most pros. It depends on what the bar is though. It's becoming more and more of an endurance race. If you were thinking about it like working out.. I'd personally rather work with heavier weights and increase my sprint time. I'm not really interested in running for 4 hours on a treadmill. Then you just have to run 5 hours, then 6.. and it just demands more time. I like having a finite amount of time with more challenge within it.

How many times can Shane, Efren, Alex, Earl run 9 ball against the ghost? A lot. If you can break/run 5 times in a row, I'd say that it's fairly easy for you.

I'd like to see more difficult games be played, more difficult shots, etc.. mandatory banks, kicks, etc.

I just ate a fish taco for the first time last week. Yummee!

They are tasty.

This one was made with Mahi Mahi fish, and it came from a food truck. Every first and third Thursday, there is a gourmet food truck in my neighborhood. We can go there with our dog and eat outside. It's kind of cool to have an activity we can enjoy with our dog.

I'd love to retire and do this. It looks like a blast! :grin-square:

Pool must not be to easy for Alex he had to drop out of the Bigfoot 10 ball last night one match away from the finals because of a bad back.

He had a long grind on the one loss side in the one pocket event after losing his 1st match he had to play the whole event with a back brace.

Everybody sees Alex smiling and joking around but i don't think there is anything easy about it he has to put in hard work and time to keep his game at a top level.

Great insight Terry...as someone with back issues, that's inspiring info.

If Pool were too easy for Alex, he would be ranked #1 in the world. I don't think he's even sniffed that status? I could be wrong.

Yeap he had to wear his back brace this whole weekend...12-15 hour days of back to back matches for 4 days is a killer. 10ft'ers are a big pain for us shorter people with back issues for sure.

Well he hasn't been able to qualify for the snooker tour so I guess he has something to work for lol

If Pool was easy for most Pro's there would be more than one SVB in this country. Playing the ghost is easy not playing SVB, Busty, Dennis, KO.

Alex can really play, but he's got action from lots of people in any game, so I don't think he'd tell you he's board with ease at which he wins.

Alex has gotten to this point because of his willingness to attempt to get his snooker card....Because of the beatdowns he's experienced on the 12 Footer, his board play has improved allot, is how I see it. If Cory can hang in their with the Snooker crowd for his grooming, he too will improve his board play to the next level.

Yeah, and combo shots. How often do you see a pro shoot a combo shot? Just curious, because combos are super difficult. They are not really needed though, all that often, in 9 ball.
