Fair enough, we agree to disagree.
For all that it matters anyone else who wants a shot at the record should use the same table John did. Break the record again. And again, and again. A sudden fight for the highest run possible would breathe a little life into our pastime and that can only be a good thing.
Tearing it apart because some people don't like John is short-sighted and self-defeating. From what I know about Danny from other pros and people in the industry it's just the way he is and always has been. He's an embarrassment.

Again, the evidentiary standard you claim 626 must be held to is completely suspended for your own claims.
What were the modifications? Is there any proof of them, other than statements from his detractors?
Good point. But you have people on both sides, listing off the alterations as if its cool. Its like they don't know they should be hiding it. The alterations are listed consistently on both sides of the coin. Giant pockets, shaved slate, dead rails, constant polishing of balls...thats enough to get a world class player to break records. Nothing but fraud.
I don't feel the need to address every single point in every single thread. I also rarely quote an entire post especially those with pictures just so I can add a, "lol", to it.
I understood all of your words and that you feel strongly about it. I don't know that the table was altered. All I have so far are Danny's incoherent ramblings which don't mean anything to me. I'm just happy it got a little press and I've yet to see anyone else top it on that table or any other.
But are they applicable to the 626? I don't recall any comment saying any of the things you mention were found to be true in this case and to state they are without proof is at best negligently hypocritical...if not maliciously so.
I mean, I'm just some dude on the internet, not a CNN news anchor, I don't care about fact checking. But what it comes down to is, if even one of those things is true, his record is meaningless (even more than it already is by people who think its legit.) I'm a smoke/fire guy, it has served me well, and made my predictions accurate.

The problem is that without unedited tape we don’t know if the table was gaffed up, or whether there were fouls, or balls popping out of pockets, or how much things were tilted (racks?), with balls being cleaned with gay abandoned, balls picked up at random by the player, or whether any chalk was thrown :-o
