I invested in the 50th anniversary Texas Open stream to catch the one-pocket action. But while I was channel-surfing, I came across the finals of the Scotch doubles. Sky Woodward and Billy Thorpe each had a talented female partner.
But I found myself rooting for Sky’s gal, a petite gamin who looked about 8-years old. I got such a kick out of her — she reminded me of Joshua Filler in that when it was her turn, she rushed to the table, like she couldn’t wait to shoot. Savannah Easton, that’s her name.
One of the commentators said that she was playing so much better in the finals because she’d just had something to eat, and that recharged her batteries.
What a treat to watch!
