JB Cases Open House - Live Video on Saturday

Thanks John. I'll be tuning in with great interest. One question I do have: With regards to protection, what are the pros and cons of the external case materials (leather, vinyl, ultra-leather, ultra-suede as used in your Wave cases)?

I hope to get a chance to meet you in person at the SBE.

Bump

I'm looking forward to this John. Good luck and I hope everything runs smooth and turns out better than you ever expected!

Okay. I misunderstood. JB Cases web site states the NC address as "Our U. S. Mailing Address". Silly me. I thought you lived there!

I understand better, now, why you are so bullish on your manufacturing location. You LIVE there. And of course are interested in helping their people and their economy.

Sorry John, I misunderstood. My bad.

It's ok. You misunderstand a lot. But that is why I try to help you out with things like these videos and my lengthy lectures.

You seem to have some deep seated hatred for the Chinese people and their economy. I have no idea what your motivation is but you are certainly welcome to participate in the discussion as relates to cases.

As for being positive about the people I live with well that's just how I am. I find the good about all places I have ever been and in China I am surrounded by hard working loyal folks who just want to build secure lives like the rest of us. They look to America and want what Americans have and what the Declaration of Independence tells them is their right as equally created human beings. Do you have a problem with that or is it your belief that the Chinese people are not your equals as humans?

... and what the Declaration of Independence tells them is their right as equally created human beings. Do you have a problem with that or is it your belief that the Chinese people are not your equals as humans?

See, I was wrong again: I didn't even know that China had a Declaration of Independence.

I would love to see Whitten added to that list... both the regular 3x6 and the light version.

Thanks.

The closest I have is a Whitten knockoff to show but I can use it to show off various strong points about Whitten's cases.

I only have one issue with Whitten cases and that's that they don't pad the interiors. Other than that they are one of the best built cases on the planet Earth, have their own distinct and unique look and are made by two of the finest humans to walk the Earth.

I have owned two Whitten cases and been over the top happy with both of them.

That's why Joe make me this nice Case:grin:

Ralf:wink:

That is very pretty. Will Prout showed me his at the ICCS and I was blown away by how light it is. Will and I both agreed that it's not made to be shipped and beat up on by baggage handlers but works absolutely PERFECTLY for the person who knows how to handle their stuff and uses it with care.

Each cue part is kept ENTIRELY separated from all the others and they cannot touch at any point. Of course if I did it I'd add some padding around those cues :-) But as it is this is an outstanding case that Dan and Joe build.

subscribing to watch ... if i get stuck at work will have to catch the upload or torrent of it instead.

John

I wont be able to watch it live tonight but please post a link with the recording. Im sure that there will be a lot of us out there who would like to see it.

Thanks

Hello everyone, I running just a little late but we will start in between 9 and 9:30PM Eastern Time.

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jb-cases---open-house

If you read this please do me a favor and repeat your questions on the chat if they don't get answered right away.

There will be a lag which means that it will happen in almost real time for most of you. The chat is instant but the video you see could be up to three minutes behind.

I will answer all sensible questions on air. If you just want to troll then I can answer the troll questions in a later made-for-HBO session :-)

Just kidding, well I am sure that this first one will not go smoothly but I promise that I will learn from it and improve it for the next time.

Last night I put an hour and a half on video and while I was a bit slow going in I did somehow manage to work myself into a light sweat after I got going. I started to sound like the pitchman on an infomercial, channeling Billy Mays or even Kevin Trudeau as much as I hate to say that. So on review that video while heartwarming and endearing may not make it to the airwaves. The information is 100% accurate and on target - the delivery is a bit over the top - sound familiar? But it was fun and a little painful to watch so I will spare you and do it over when I can.

For now though - lets try the live version and see how it works out.

Thanks for informing us on case building

By the way is anyone else getting alot of lag ?

Yes, the lag is from from JB's side. Video stream could be lagging because of packet inspection from the great firewall of china.

Yeah I normally dont get any lag on this connection from us broadcast streams.

JB I'd love to watch live but it's unwatchable due to the lag. I'll check it out after you have it archived.

Thank you everyone that participated. The stream was recorded and the quality is so-so. I will make it available in a little while as soon as I figured out how to do it on U-stream.

I will also re-answer the questions in a less hectic manner with higher quality video later.

Again,

Thank you!
