I NEVER sleep! I might miss something. By the way, Allison played SUPER last night in her match with David Alcaide. She won on the hill, but that's only half the story. David is an excellent player and a class guy.
Allison remains motivated to play high quality pool against all opponents, even after all these years on top. She is not fazed by any opponent or any situation. It is no accident that she continues to dominate women's pool, even with all the great players on their tour.
Allison has the best focus and concentration I've ever seen. As good as ANY player past or present! That's all. And her poise under fire is simply remarkable. She is never flustered or confused. She remains calm and cool in the face of difficult situations or pressure packed shots. To say I am impressed with her performance is a major understatement. Amazing is a better word to describe how she performed in a real crucible last night.
She was on the front table, the big stage if you will, playing a very strong opponent who was on top of his game. He reached the hill first at 9-8. She them mustered the heart and courage to make TWO very difficult run outs with the whole crowd on the edge of their seats. Allison made shot after shot that tested her will to win. Very few players (man or woman) could have did what she did in the same spot.
