Jenn Barretta Pro player... REALLY?

Jasmine at 14.1

Agree 100%.

Years ago, and I think CJ may have been involved, stating that he would take a woman over any men players. Its silly, as dominating as Allison Fisher was, there are plenty of men that would regularly pound her.

Jen is great for the sport, as well as Jeanette and several others, but watching women pool, to me, is like "A" minor league baseball and "PRO" baseball. I am speaking of 9 or 10 ball.

CJ constantly speaks about how terrible a game one pocket is. But, because of the break is removed, it makes me think if there is a game that women should be able to compete on a equal level to men, it would be one pocket.

I watched Jeanette Lee play one pocket at DCC, and it was terrible. But on the other had, I didn't see many of the other professional women step up to the plate and play. Kudos to Jeanette for having "the balls" to compete.

I went to several women's events and watched them. The thing that pi$$ed me off was when he announced the women players as "The greatest players in the world!"

If anyone wants to impress me, come to DCC, and compete in the open class there, women or men. IMO, again while I admire the women that have "the guts, balls, whatever" to actually do it (without a spot), they haven't faired very well.

Have you ever seen Jasmine Ocean play 14.1?? Even the top men straight pool players know she's a monster.

As compared to the current mens tour?

Oh wait, there isn't one, is there? And hasn't been for how long....?

Give it a rest, you know damn well that men have plenty of events to test themselves against top peers. The women do not have nearly the opportunity in this country.

:lovies:

Sometimes it you don't have something nice to say, it's best to not say anything at all.

I'm guessing Jesters is in his early 20's and has never been to a Women's Professional

tournament before. I appreciate all women that play pool.

Agreed. However, you were specifically putting down the women's pro tour, which was the only pro pool still having an actual "tour" and actually on television, long after the men's tour went away.

Different levels of skill doesn't make the ladies any less "professional". In truth, the ladies as a whole fit the description of "professional" far better than their male counterparts.

The subjugation of women in pool.
Let's just minimize any female accomplishments because they aren't men.
Amazing.
Got to love the forums.;)

How pathetic!
Beating up on a dedicated player is such a lame thing to do. I`m happy that there even exists female pro players.
Hopefully, they can inspire other girls to take up pool as a hobby.

action ??

I will kick in some cash as well to bring Jester to NYC to play Jen... don't think Jester will respond though, time to tuck the tail and run.

Jen just said on the live stream (turning stone classic) she will play anybody ...
so I think OP got action if he wants it ....

Yes, that's my point. He has turned tail and run. We have folks up here raising cash to have him play her, and nothing but silence ;)

I am not putting it down but stating facts. The tour is a former shell of itself with next to no events. A lot of it stems from it being poorly run which can't be debated.

5k should get it done

If he's serious, and I hope he is, I'll put up $2500 and I'm sure we can quickly find another $2500 on AZB looking to make some $. But just like Jester wants to make it "worth his while"...I want the chance to double my money.

I actually believe Jennifer has too much integrity to do this but...

Here's how this could go down...

He shows up with $5k on the line and quietly suggests to Jennifer that if she loses convincingly he'll split the $5k winnings with her and the two of them put on a nice show, pocketing $2500 each.

This is why I don't gamble though. I just don't have enough faith in humanity.

Jenn wouldn't do something like this. What I think is a more realistic scenario is Jester, who's real name is unknown, says bet and sends the best player in his area.

I figured she wouldn't. Then again, I am not sure she'd want to be any part of this ridiculous challenge anyway.

She's a pool player, she gambles, and she likes action. Why would she NOT want to be part of this to some tough talking blow hole and the chance to show him up while pocketing some easy cash
