Hey guys I have a Jim Lee custom cue that I have been playing with now for about 3 months. First off the cue construction is great! Second, the cue plays great also. The cue was originally suppose to be built at 19.5oz but before Jim shipped it to me he told me that it came out to be around 20oz. I was a little hesitant to accept it from him but he assured me that the way the balance was made that it actually felt closer to a 19oz when played with. When I recieved the cue this was the first thing I wanted to check. Wow did it feel like a 19oz and also when I played it too! Jim does the most amazing leather wrapping:thumbup:super top notch! Jim's communication with me was also outstanding. Overall Jim Lee builds amazing cues and plays lights out and I defintely looking foward to having him build me another cue soon!!!!

Much mahalo Jim for the outstanding customer service and most wonderful cue:D!!!

Good looking stick you've got there. It's a fairly plain design, but I think it's pretty classy at the same time.

Nice cue!!

Brandon,

Very nice classic design cue. Jim did a good job again. I am happy with my only shooter, the MardiGras cue by Jim, because of its playability and its beautiful style.(See my Signature)

Jim's cues are certainly heavily underrated in playability, since not many on AZB have shot with his work. But the more people try Jim's cues out, the more people will understand. I have trouble losing with my Jim Lee cue, since I got it. Just wish I could play more than once a week.

Jim - congrats again on another great looking and playing cue. You are starting to get your niche. People eyes will be open wide when they see GOTULANE. They just don't understand. But they will soon.

Nice

Real nice cue Brandon, Jim is so underrated it's terrible. His cues are great. I won't say he is perfect, but very close.

i know someone who's got a jim lee cue. i've been wanting to try it since the day he bought it (last years west coast cue show) but every time i run into the guy (guys that go to crown billiards in san ramone might know him Mark) he's always using something else. he says the tip's too hard but it's on my wish list.

it's a great looking PJ (all BEM i think)

i'd love to see more of his work if anyone else wanted to post a picture of theirs

here is a sneak preview

Here is the sneak picture Jim sent me of the handle on my gotulane cue.

Check it out while you can.

Jim's cues are players, and you should get one while the wait isn't too long.

first time i tried a Jim Lee cue here in the Philippines. it was a classic 4-pointer with veneers.

these are my observations:

- great craftsmanship overall. no signs of rushed work. sleek & smooth. great finishing.
- wrap well done, no signs of glue overshoots; seam not very noticeable
- cue balance is great
- shaft wood definitely chosen well, tight-grained and straight.
- good feedback felt because of the metal-to-wood pin
- hits solid; i tried shooting it for several racks

great cue. :)

that's an inside joke

curious

Is there a color associated with that stain? Honey? (not you Bran  the stain color .... lol)

Hey Doc,

The forearm wood is actually Khamphi Rosewood. That is the natural color of that wood. Very red. It is from the country of Laos. Very nice wood to work with.
Thanx for all the kind words guys!
