JoeyA Goes to Valley Forge (to do commentary)

I don't know how much it means to the streamers, but the booths had options of having internet access run to them. With that many booths, I think they would have to have a lot of ooommmmppppffffff to handle the load. Just my 2 cents worth.

Okay. Found it. We had options for telephone line or highspeed ethernet connection and the option for additional connections and tech assistance.

Am I on the wrong track, again?

Internet usage needs very little bandwith. Streaming is a completely different ballgame.

I know I am flying. Quite a drive from Az.

Mike

Yeah....... It's about 22-24 hours from there to here and another 24-30 hours of driving from here to King of Prussia. That's 2 days plus, with no sleep, or 3 days plus motel rooms.

We're leaving tomorrow for the trip. Hopefully, we can relax and enjoy ourselves and stop in KY and visit my bro overnight, before moving on.

Travel safe and best wishes to all you guys who are supposed to be streaming. I hope the internet will support you all. Maybe you can all have a get-together, each night, and share your experiences with each other, hopefully making the next day and the next day even better for all of you. Just a thought. You guys really should consider something like that, when you wind up with more than one at the same place. It could be extremely beneficial to all of you.

ALL of the streamers are appreciated. Look at how you've transformed the internet just in the past year!

Good luck!

I did the drive from Atlanta to Phoenix last year with Brandywine. 3 days with hotel stops.

Jerry and I drove from Atlanta to VF last year. That was an amazing trip. Some of the most beautiful scenery that I have ever seen.

Have a safe trip.

Mike

Enjoy yourself, I'm sure you will be great!

Hu

Yeah, what he said.

Also, JoeyA, make sure you wear comfortable shoes. The conference center is HUGE, and you'll need to do a lot of walking. It is a no smoking venue, which is great for the non-smokers. ;)

When you get a chance, be sure to ask Frankie Hernandez about his eyebrows. Inquiring minds gotta know! :grin-square:

Jennie,
People keep telling me how huge this center is so I am looking for something REALLY HUGE.
As to Frankie and Ginky, I have to be careful about the questions I ask poolplayers now adays but if the subject comes up I WOULD LOVE TO TALK ABOUT IT IF THEY ARE UP TO IT. ;)

Maybe I can get one of them to sit with me for a match and I can bring the subject up as something that our listeners may want to know about. VBG.

Glad to know it is no smoking and lots of walking. I like them both.

HU: Thanks for the well wishes. C U on the 'net.

Rolling out the door. MY son should be here to pick me up any minute.

JoeyA:

I think you did a very good job in the booth! I have to admit that I followed the chat and stream at AZBilliards most of the time, but I used to have the sound from InsidePool :) (Sorry Jerry and Mike)

It was especially interesting to listen to you and Thorsten during the final. Well done. Hope you will do more tournaments in the future!

bounced between them

I was bouncing between both coverages much of the time. Sometimes I froze one screen but I usually had them both running and I would be listening to one while watching the other one a fair amount of the time. The commentary did sound a little funny sometimes watching totally different action!

I have to say that everyone from AZB did a great job in the booth. We have some genuine on-air talent here.

JoeyA has a very cool style. Kind of a Ken Venturi sort of thing. :D

One of the things that really impressed me was how long he was able to keep his voice. Weren't some of those +12 hour days? That's a crazy long time to talk! He stayed cool and in groove and wrapped things up with extra gas in the tank.

Very impressive!

Nice going JoeyA!

That is a great feat for anyone!

Thanks "T".

It was a lot of fun. There was one really stressful day but that happens sometimes. I'm not sure how much gas was in the tank after some of those long days but I was a good boy going to bed early and getting plenty of rest. :)

Thanks to all of you for tuning in.

I am going to be working on some additional things that I want to add to my commentary, hopefully to improve the experience for the viewer.

Best Regards,
JoeyA

Great job Joey

Joey, I think you surprised a lot of the locals who may have thought
you might stumble, but you done a great job. I also enjoyed Tony Robles who would be a great future partner for you.

Thanks Humphrey! Tony Robles is known for the way he treats people as well as his pool knowledge and pool talent. It would be great to work with him in the future.
