John Schmidt's 626

Must be u. Get ur head out of js butt or use ur deodorant while browsing, xfrankxBurns says. Works in past, present or future. Try it Mikey
Seems like you have an anal fixation. Must have been on the teat too long as a child. Probably about 626 days too long.

CW was of Facebook recently, discussing doing a 14.1 tournament virtually...I couldn't help myself, had to suggest the issues he was gonna run into 🤪
But the most relevant part of it, being CW, was he was calling it a "World Championship". That's the version I saw anyway.

It looks like nobody cares anyway. 20 votes and 2 comments. But calling a FB high run challenge a World Championship is a stretch even for him.

He's been calling his live tournament a "World Championship " for years now, despite being told not to by the WPA (I believe, or the BCA, or both). Even tho it is the biggest 14.1 tournament going, it doesn't meet the "World Championship " criteria, if i recall.

I wasn't going down that road. I was more interested if he and/or the people reading his thread were aware of the silliness going on here, in regards to video'd pool runs.

Personally, I'm on the fence about John Schmidt's 626-ball run.

Do I believe that Schmidt, or any of the "witnesses", are lying about the feat? No, not necessarily.

However, I'm not the type of person that just blindly believes word of mouth. Without seeing something for myself, I simply chalk it up as talk.

Furthermore, the fact that there's 'allegedly' video proof of the amazing run, yet nobody will release it, does raise a little suspicion. I mean, if I did something so impressive, I'd make sure the whole world saw it/knew it!

Bottom line: I don't doubt it could have happened. I'll believe it when I see it. None the less, even if Schmidt's claims are completely true, I still find Willie Mosconi's 526-ball run in 1954 far more impressive - given the old tables; cushions; conditions; traditional high-deflection tip, ferrule, shaft, joint, cue; etc. And, the fact that his historic accomplishment stood unmatched for at least 65 years.
Just curious, what are you on the fence about? Because you didn't witness it or were not given access to the video, so therefore, it did not happen. So, when did you actually see Mosconi's run? Oh, that's right, you didn't, and you keep referring to is the the most impressive run ever. Weird.

I thought this was settled long ago. Especially after BD did a great spread on the run including a great article by Mike Panozzo. Both are in the August 2020 BD issue. Not to mention they both refer to Bob Jewett being there to see the video in person. He calls the idiots that don't believe in the 626 run "numpties". Basically, just more "numpties" tearing down our sport we all love. Yes, he concedes it's a small minority of idiots but idiots none the less. It's quite a funny article and well worth finding that copy of BD. Also, 14.1 Champs, the folks that should care about this all sent in their congratulations, including Sigel, Hohman, Varner, and Appleton. Hohmans' quote was probably the most applicable, "I don't care who recognizes it, it was an amazing" So, let the "numpties" have their fun as they really don't count since everyone else on the pool playing planet that matters has recognized it and it will soon be the official world record as well. I imagine these same folks whining about it probably had relatives yelling vile things at Roger Maris before and after he broke the Babe's single season HR record ;) lol

Never will be accepted by numpties or anyone with a little knowledge of the GAME, especially since all you’re throwing out for evidence is the word of SHILLS, who offered $1k, $5k, $10k to anyone who equaled or surpassed the Mosconi 526. The names of those shills are well known, and whether or not they actually awarded the money, their connection and support for the successful assault on 526 is well documented. It matters not that their voices are loud/soft, they are not held in high esteem with the pocket pool player world.
So, just get over it.
Don’t show the evidence!
You, JS, revoke/substantiate the claim by your choice. All others are just peeing into the winds of time.
I see your off your meds again. So, Nick Varner is a "shill"?. Billiards Digest is a "shill"? They are "all" in on it? A conspiracy that has more moving parts than the JFK assassination? Brilliant. OK, you got us. We tried to "fool" you but were busted now. Meanwhile, it will be the official world record, recognized by the BCA, BD, and every professional player and HOF players on the planet. But, I'm sure some random dude on AZB can stop this. As the scary dude in the movie Taken said, " Gud Lok".

Ironic, isn't it? Shitting on the game and claiming it is a protective layer.

Holy shit, for the first time in my 15 years on this site I'm considering placing someone on ignore. Your willful ignorance seemingly knows no bounds.

Are all of you js fans related? You all seem to have been taught by the same liberal, groupie. Nothing matters except what I tell you matters over and over, again and again. Take your balls and go home, keep it all in the family. Radar
What is with leftists and projection. liberal groupie? LOL. I consider JS a friend but that's besides the point. It wouldn't matter if Charlie Williams (whom I don't like at all) had done it. I don't need to see it to know that it's been done. If I did, I wouldn't acknowledge Mosconi's run either.

Jaden

No, it's not JS fan boys, it's JS haters who are trying to shit on an awesome accomplishment.

Why, Thank you, Chalkie, I didn’t know you had it in you to admit it, but admit it you did. I’m afraid you added shill to those ex champions, and not I, but I also know that you and all of the others know to whom I was referring to who directly volunteered monetary amounts for anyone to equal or exceed the 526 number. Panozzo is a writer of undistinguished pool skills, the BCA managers, having little to no pool skills, and Billiards Digest, all are guilty of faux advertising, without verification.
One other Major error in your accusations, I don’t give a shit who runs the most balls consecutively, you, js, or anyone else. Just don’t try to connect it to the 14.1 Straight Pool Continuous Pocket Billiards game, ya hear? There are rules, yes!
Yes, I "admitted" it. Appears understanding the concept of sarcasm is beyond your grasp as well. I'm guessing you're another expert who can't run three balls but is demanding satisfaction for the pool playing world. LMAO. Dude, you come off as a fool here, but then again, I'm guessing you are use to that based on the comments coming at you. Here's a tip, when you are in a huge hole, the wise man usually puts down the shovel. lol

Awesome, for I human, of 7.3 billion, hardly any significance to note.
LOL, now my algebra II students are looking at me funny. Anything that is 1 out of 7.3 billion is of great note. If 100million had done it, it wouldn't be much of note would it?

Jaden

p.s. they're taking a test today.
