Alright man you got my attention.
First as nicely as I can say if you read the whole thread you would know that I said two weeks to come up with something different. I don't run my mouth I stand behind everything i do and say. And second I doubt Alton charges 50 for those caps. Second I did say their best for 50 but since your acting like you are here's what I'll do just to satisfy you. Find how how much Alton charges for you specific ups you like then I'll make one comprable to his price and then the people can decide which is more bang for their bucks. Please read the thread again then when your done read it again then maybe you'll understand the whole fifty dollar deal. Then I you still can't comprehend I have a number you can call and I would be more than happy to explain it to you. Like I said time and time again I asked for two weeks. Read the thread again. And the challenge about the fifty is this what jp would he or anyone make for fifty and then I would make something for fifty and people can decide which is more of a value something that a machine made for fifty of something that a human being made with their bare hands with out he aid of electric machines. And as far as you buying a jp from me if you don't like don't buy it if you do call.

I just use the free ones that you get when you buy a cue....and after two weeks those end up in the bottom pocket of my case never to be seen.....

Well...sometimes they jump out when the pocket is unzipped...I can usually catch them pretty quick though....I stuff them back in to the pocket and zip it up. :smile:
 
Before this train gets to running too fast . . .

I talked to Marshall Piercy(PiercyExclusive) a few hours the other day and I have seen images of his joint protectors in progress. They are different and they are impressive.

He did talk to Tony privately I believe and Tony wasn't serious about having him build his joint protectors. Alton I don't know about. Marshall is making a few mistakes posting but he seems like a good guy and is trying to straighten things out. I suggest giving him a little time to get sorted out. It is obvious by his later posts that he is doing his best from his side.

You need to do the reading, I use Altons Caps I like him, He is a Nice Guy and he takes pride in what he does and does it well!You on the other hand have NO MANNERS, You have a Smart Attitude and I wouldn't use you cues or caps it they were ten cents. If you have a Gus, Barry Szamboti,Tascarella, Searing you don't want to put plastic caps on it or CHEAP CAPS either! It would be like putting recaps on a Corvette! Why don't you make the cue and put your caps on it and sell it to anyone except me I don't care for you PERIOD Please no more PM's or phone numbers I have had enough of you! Ron

Haha, I am looking at your sig pic of your Gus with a big black plastic JP on it and none on the shafts. :grin-square: I personally have delrin JPs on my one cue because it has a delrin butt cap and it looks good and gives it some protection from..... ahhhh. I really like Alton caps but am unsure of what he charges to do the work, could he list prices of the caps he has shown? I am interested in seeing some unique cue caps for $50 but they would have to match the cue they are going on so they would be custom made for each cue I am guessing and if that is the case its a real bargain.

I have never seen anyone make JPs as nice as Alton, he is the king of JPs but I am sure the work and detail come with a price tag as they should to go on high end cues. My one cue is around $2000, not sure it needs JPs that are $500 or whatever. Now if I had a $50,000 cue I could see spending $500-$1000 or so on a set. More pics of JPs please. :smile:

Alright, I'll say it. That was COMPLETELY uncalled for. Like he said, he apologized for the things he said. And regardless, he never said anything to you to warrant this crap.

If you don't like him, stay out of this thread. And I also find it hilarious that you say, "If you have a Gus, Barry Szamboti,Tascarella, Searing you don't want to put plastic caps on it or CHEAP CAPS either!" and then I look at the pics in your signature and see a plastic cap on your cue. (But no caps at all on your 5 shafts).

Seriously, who needs five shafts for one cue anyway? :confused:

A year ago I bought the Gus from Troy and this is how I got it! I now have 2 more shafts from Dennis Searing and it has Altons caps! As well as the 5 Tascarellas He is making 25 caps for me now for the cues I have bought in the last month or so. Check my Itrader you will see alton there. I need to get new pictures I guess. Here it the ones for the first Barry Szamboti:

The caps on the right and left are for my Ebony Gus and another Barry Szamboti yep I ordered the caps before I got the Cue but it will be here in a couple days! My birthday was 8-4 and I got the Ebony Gus, I couldn't stop I got 2 more Tascarellas the Stacked Veneer Tascarellas 2 more Barrys and A Searing for Marcus I had to stop I ran out of money? I still need a Barry with the collar like the Gus!

I hope that we could patch things up and start fresh mr. Ron.
I am trying to change a few things about my attitude but sometimes its hard to Change old habits. I hope to start fresh and with a few guidance from a few members on here, my attitude that people do not like will change. hope things on your end are well. If you would understand this that would be great and if you want pics I'll send them to you. But I never wanted to anger anyone I was the angry one . Like I said I am trying to change and with help from others I hope to change and maybe you could be one of those people to put me on this path. a little guidance from anyone on here is appreciated more than anyone can think.

You bring out the worst in me as well, I don't think it is a good thing to knock the guys who are making caps I like Altons caps I get plain cues and I get caps from him He is a nice guy who does great work! Not to say others don't but I like Alton . Don't sweat it do what you want if you want to see others caps go to Steve Kornele custom caps I got mine from him till I joined AZ and found Alton.Repeat business is the quality and how you treat people and for me he's like Barry, Pete Tascarella and Dennis Searing They have a passion for what they do and all are really nice People! Ron

I didn't mean to come off knocking alton I thought the fight was between me and tony actually. Would you like to see pics on what I am working on...will send them to you ...just not ready for the forum cause they aren't done yet (so if you get the pics please don't post them or pass them around yet). I know what you mean about passion cause sometimes I have to much and I get .....well.... angry towards those who want to knock my stuff done before they even have the chance to get up. know what I mean. Sorry about all this mess i think this was all dumb. I like altons stuff but I wanted to go a different way not knock his stuff. I own allot of cues from people and I respect other cuemakers as well and Alton does turn out great caps. they are nice. I just hope that when I finish mine they would have the same amount or close to the amount of respect alton gets.

If I say something stupid please pm me and tell me of so that I can delete stuff before I make an ass out of myself.

I also got to see Marshall's work and am happy he decided to share it with me. They're not traditional at all for what most of us know as JPs but they are definitely pretty impressive. I think people are going to really like what he has to offer. He's definitely not heading in the same direction as others that make JPs. It's going to take more time to get his stuff ready for AZ viewing and from what I think it's worth the wait.
In this thread he did come off a bit harsh but I think he's made amends for that by now and is doing the right thing to start garnering the respect he would like to have in our community. Marshall is just really passionate about what he's doing but headed down a more defensive and reactive path then he needed. He wants to challenge those in this business to do things outside the box and in that challenge himself more but I think the last thing he meant to challenge anyone to was a fight. So let's just let the BS go and when his JPs are ready give him the benefit of some AZ openness to the creativity we all love in cues and caps.

Yep I need to get new pictures and clear! I have been working 70-80 hrs a week for a year, and the wife teaches so we have to go out to eat! I don't have time to do anything,Well except buy cues and order caps from Alton! I think I found the LAST Barry I need ,Yep stitched collar w/red veneer in the ring work or joint collar! All I need is the $6250! Gotta run but I will have 25 caps soon for your viewing, yep all from the master ALTON! Ron

Hi, I just ordered three cues from this guy and when he didn't answer my calls I was worried he just took my money. I don't know what was going on so I decided to go over to his house and come to find out this guys been in the hospital since about a week and 3 days. This guy could die from dengue. I mean WTF so young. I went to the hospital to wish him well and I wanted to let everyone know his situation. This is sad for me cause I just meet a really nice guy passionate about his work and well now there's a chance of him well I'm not going to say it jus I hope he gets over this shit.
I hope people can wish him luck I'll be seeing him Tuesday so I'll bring him a laptop to get on if people want to wish him luck.

This is some scary stuff...I just saw a report on it about a week ago...as some cases have shown in the Keys and southern US. It is a mosquito-borne disease...so those in the southern US need to protect yourselves against mosquito bites.

I believe it is also referred to as the 'bone breaking' disease, as that is what people who have suffered from it say it feels like...like all your bones are breaking from within....intensely painful. In the most severe cases, death can occur.

If this is indeed true...my prayers go out to him and his family.
