Does anyone have access to some Kamui tips? I would like to buy a few. Would prefer to purchase inside the U.S.

Thanks in advance,
Jimmy

A local guy here in va. beach has some, he gets $25 instaled, i can see what he would let them go for buy there self??? I would try and find some on a retail website.

they are a little hig in the US.i think 5starbilliards sells them for $19,but they can be had overseas for as little as $8 if you buy alot.

Fivestarbilliards.com has them, but there $19 for one!!! Have you used them before??? I had a M on my capone for a while and it hit like a hard, had a ping like a very hard tip. I was told that they play about 1/2 HARDER than other tips, so there M playes like a H. They make a MS, i have though of trying that one???

i use the Soft's b/c they are a little harder.if i had a softer ferrule i might use Medium or Medium Soft, but the Soft work great on Melamine.

I just got some from Cyrus in Taiwan. Great price and they got here to CA in a week-

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I guess I heard wrong. I thought they were softer than Mooris as a rule. Right now my choice is Snipers but I am still looking for something on the softer side. The greatest thing about Snipers is that they don't mushroom and the daily maintenance is very low. I guess I still looking for the perfect tip. On the soft side and low mushrooming. I am always open to suggestions.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Kamui tips tend to be harder. They play very well. It is my tip of choice. I am currently out of stock. but I will be getting some shortly.

They do play one step harder than a comparable tip. I use a MS and it feels a lot to me like a Moori M or a Sniper. I got mine off ebay for about $45 shipped for 4 tips. For what it's worth, I really like it so far.

Kamui's don't mushroom either.I have seen a few Softs mushroom, but the others don't.if you leave them real tall they might, but i cut mine down about halfway, and have no problems.i know the Moori's are bad to mushroom.

Kamui's are the nuts! Best tips ever.

I am replacing all my tips with Kamui's, whether they need replacing or not.

Each designation (S, MS, H, etc) has excellent consistency, though each one is also harder than other brands of the same hardness. So a MS Kamui will be much harder than other tips called MS.

I use MS on all non-ivory ferrules, and S on ivory. No pads.

My first ones were installed 3-months (on my daily player) with NO mushrooming at all. For that matter, I haven't done anything to it since the Kamui's were installed! Oh, and they are not cut down! I can see the layers from across the table.

I have ordered from both guys who already Posted in this thread, and highly recommend both of them.

PS: Kamui's are not cheap. Buying 1-2, expect to pay up to $19.00 ea.

Kamui SII

Jimmy, I bought some from Cyrus a few months ago. Great person to deal with and fast shipping too. The SII's play really nice.

Jimmy,

You can contact Alex Brick or Richard Harris to purchase the tips. They have some in stock right now.

Thanks

Guys,
Thanks for all of the information. :)

Not only did it help me find some tips, I also learned about the tip's performance. I think I will give the soft ones a try.

Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

If you are looking for a tips that is on the softer side, give Molavia a try. The hard is like a medium hard Moori and has been the best tips for me. I carry Molavia at my site www.customcuesandtips.com.

Duc.

the Kamui Soft after a couple of weeks of play and cut down about halfway are the best tip i have ever used.

Now you are talking.
I pound mine on concrete with the cue jointed and break them in then trim them twice.
