John and I have been friends for quite a few years.
I am sorry to hear of your condition, and want you to know that our thoughts are with you.
You guys are a good team and there are a lot of us pulling for you.

Thank you everyone. The situation is that the baby is smaller than the doctor thinks it should be at this stage. Vitals are fine and all the body parts are developing normally. Google says that this is not a problem. The doctor has confined Karen to bed and have her on a couple painful IVs I guess to pump nutrients into her bloodstream. She is physically fine, the baby is dancing constantly, heartbeat is strong. Just anxious and nervous.

John.... The Barton clan is in my prayers as well..
Karen might get to go home tomorrow if all checks out on the ultrasound. She is going stir-crazy spending about 23 hours a day in bed. On another note the hospital has an automated parking garage that is pretty neat. It looks to be about ten stories high or higher. You drive up to an open bay the door opens, you drive in and get out and run the card over the reader and it takes your car away. Later you wave the card over the reader again and it brings it back just like a valet you don't have to tip. 
I know of these types of parking garages but I had never used one. Now two three times a day and it works pretty painlessly. I predict that the company making them has a bright future in China.
Again, thank you so so so much to everyone here and on Facebook and again to those of you who sent Karen encouraging notes. She was so distraught and upset at the beginning of the week and the outpouring from you all really helped to soothe and reassure her. Some of you told her stories of your own hiccups during pregnancies and that your children came through and are healthy. We appreciate this community hugely and are glad to be a part of it.
Karen is always a bit embarrassed when we go to shows and people say that they are finally glad to meet her. I think though that she understands why I refer to AZB as my extended family and why I could never give it up. Many of you are part of her family now too and we thank you.

Glad to hear every thing is looking better for your wife and baby, hopefully they will be home with you we they belong, real soon Mr.Barton, GOD BLESS THIS MANS FAMILY!

Glad to hear she may get to go home. That's certainly a good sign.
The last of my 4 'children' is now a 21 year old bruiser. He was 4 lbs. 5 ozs. when he was born 8 1/2 weeks early. He spent 2 1/2 months in the neonatal intensive care unit. The doctor put my wife on total bed rest with her head down & her feet up for 10 days before he was born. That may very well have saved his life 'for the 2nd. time'.
The first time was when the Dr. told us that she had mis-carried & I made them do an ultrasound before scheduling a DNC. There it was... his heart just beating away. I was praying the whole way from the Dr.'s office til we heard his heartbeat. Now I can't keep him quit.
I'll keep your entire family in my prayers.
