A case designed and built for New York cue collector, Ken Kerner, with fellow New Yorkers in mind. The case is adorned with hidden gems and iconic architecture revered the world over. From Grand Central Terminal’s spherical brass clock to its turn of the century cream and black brick pattern that border the case body to a confluence of four corner pockets. The body of the case heralds the distinctive ambiance of Time Square with its abundance of Yellow Cabs and Beat Cops surrounded by neon shrouded marquees and the constant flash of colossal LCD screens. At the foot of the case lies stoic Brooklyn Bridge back dropped by New York’s Gotham skyline. Flanking the body aside the signature hog ring fasteners fly the Chrysler Tower’s winged radiator caps with representations of the Statue of Liberty centered top and bottom.
To the back-side… stretching skyward is the famous Empire State Building with the infamous King Kong swinging from its iron spire. On to New York, New York’s hood… topped by one of the iron clad cars of roaring subway train titled over by “Grand Central Terminal” Flanking the stainless steel art deco tower of the Chrysler Building are the unmistakable lights of Broadway to the left and the legendary but obscure music venues of CBGB’s and the Village Vanguard topped off by none other than Madison Square Garden.
This 10lb+ case houses two butt’s and four shafts and boasts a heavy duty shoulder strap with unique, adjustable pad emblazoned with an NYC-DOT Subway token amidst art deco motifs.
Envisioned, designed, hand-tooled, built (inside and out) by case maker Phil Eastwood.
For those attending the 2013 Super Billiards Expo in New Jersey… Enjoy! This case can be viewed at Ken Kerner’s booth with some of the finest collectors’ cues on the market at High End Cues (booth 205).
