Kevin Trudeau -CNN Court Video

Actually, that's a very nice fedora. Just because he's shady doesn't mean he's without style.

I don't like how his involvement in the pool world unfolded (although the pool world should have seen it coming a mile away), but I think it's an overreaction to say that the e-mails were intended to harass or threaten the court. I think Trudeau had something akin to an amicus brief in mind. It was undoubtedly a poorly considered move, but I don't see the criminal intent.

As I said in an earlier post, I am no Trudeau fan, but Judge Gettlemen is being a bit extreme here. He had other options. I am not sure that he himself hasn't crossed the line.

This is one of those individuals that is destined to always operate on the fringes of the law, leaving MANY victims in his wake!

Man Of The Decade? How about Scammer Of The Decade!

Jay, when and by whom was he declared man of the decade? what decade was it?

if true i think we azers should talk about having it revoked !

He's out

I saw on the news alittle while ago. He's out, he wasn't in very long, if he had to go into custody at all.

Billiards Digest named him the Man Of The Decade in pool in their February issue. A baffling choice as far as I'm concerned. I have already written a letter to them voicing my disapproval.

Jay, a long tome ago you and I had a conversation about how pool always reaches a certain point - then shoots itself in its own ass.

Well... there ya go.

I can think of several:

1.) Remember the time pool was in Vegas and all of the players dumped and let Lebron (the longshot) win. The pool players had all bet at the casino and then all dumped.......while somewhat humorous, another nail in the coffin and the end of casinos taking pool bets.

2.) Earl Strickland...long list here, but the walking out at Romines against Duell when the Mens pool was still viable and sponsored. Not alot of sponsors want to pay for a finals when one of players walks out mid match. (Amazingly guys here still worship him...)

3. Someone on this forum, with lets say creative financing, and lots of lawsuits, etc and they are still worshiped like they are great person. Im not saying Im perfect, but I think I pick my heroes a little better.

We have to do it better, cleaner, ect., than all of the other sports. Is it fair? No, but we have a reputation, and from what I can see we deserve it.

I agree, Trudeau is being charged specifically for his book and supposed inaccuracies that are fraudlent against people who buy it. The people who Trudeau appealed to are those exact people the court is supposedly fighting to protect, and they are singing a different tune then one would expect given the case.

From what was said the emails were simply appeals to the judge to take into account that the book has helped a great many people deal with their weight loss. The judge seems to be spinning this, claiming that the emails are an attack on the court, a direct violation of waht law is it that the people who bought the book actually have the freedom to speak their mind about it? "We can't be sure people are just angry"? The judge needs to step back and put things in more perspective, he seems to be overly emotional over the whole thing.

What bugs me is Trudeau seems to be a target they like to go after. How the heck is Trudeau dishonest while these twits are fine and dandy to write books and sell them like crazy?

he wrote a bloody book.

go get em Gettlemen.

There are thousands of snake oil sales men out there and alot of them are alot more harming then a guy who writes a friggin book about certain diets, of which there is so much bloody debate from red meat diets, low carb, ect.... that one cannot find any consensus anyhow. How the hell do they target Trudeau and him alone and say "your dishonest, we are going to sue you!".
