I read this whole thread... Don't know either party involved. That said.....

there is no way in hell I would remove the paypal claim until I recieved a refund. The buyer didn't make a mistake here, the seller did. The seller needs to make it right.

Also sending money from a checking account to paypal has never taken more than a few seconds for me. there is no wait time, so i have no idea what the problem is there.

Not true....If JFORNEY cancels or refunds money using the same transaction number...Monto will receive 100% of his payment

So because Monto is in Thailand, he's a scammer? I could understand that to a degree as many people are reluctant to send items overseas. But that being said, I gott ask. Singapore is overseas too, right? Or is my map broken???

Bottom line is you were wrong to assume one person wasn't going to pay after you committed to a deal. And that person was kind enough to let you out of that deal. All he wants now is his money back. By not giving it back until he does something for you is ridiculous. He already HAS done something for you. He let you out of the deal so you could make more money.

If he's so worried at a instant refund from me via paypal. Why would he leave $270 hanging out a western union when he knows I could go get that too.. I just got off the phone with paypal again. She advised me NOT to settle this transaction outside of paypal.com. I will not be protected if I do.

Excellent idea...except that doing this doesn't guarantee he lifts the claim on his other account. Could be a little tricky. I like the thought process however.

I not asking him to do something for me. It is doing something for him.. To get him his $$$ back.. Your all right I was in the wrong here. If I would wait for every person that told me they were sending me money I would be waiting a long time on somethings.. Right BVal... Shit happens and it has happened and to make it go away this needs to happen.. LIFT THE CLAIM SO I can pay you.. If this don't happen i'm done with this transaction becasue I dont know what to do to protect me..

YOUR PROTECTION IS THAT ONCE, I/A MIDDLE MAN, HAS THE MONEY, HE LIFTS HIS CLAIM. ONCE IT'S LIFTED, HE CAN'T REFILE.

Very solid point and he has not addressed that yet. I am not picking sides here but he never addressed that. If Forney was trying to really scam, would he have not taken the Western Union money also?
