Least damaging bridge head

I hate using a bridge. Not because I am not good with one but because I am always concerned about scraping up my cue. I normally grab a house cue when I am using a bridge.

Anyone have any recommendations for a bridge head that doesn't have any ridges that will scrape on your cue? I thought about sanding them off of the moosehorn bridge I have now or maybe getting one of the leather ones.

I've made my own bridgehead out of 1/4" plexi and filed/sanded the edges perfectly smooth and round. I have never marked a shaft. You could certainly smooth out the moose head too and then not worry about any issues. Mitch

Any leather bridgehead will do. I use the Madman One Pocket bridge and swear by it.

I got the cheap leather bridge head from Seyberts and it's really nice! Seems super shaft friendly to me and a lot cheaper than something like the Tiger bridge head.

I have this one here and it works really well. You don't have to worry about it taking off the tip because of the way it connects. No scratches and it adjusts to different heights as well.

I take 600 then 1500 to all of the 'bearing surfaces', and have no complaints.

I've been using Justa-Bridge for couple of years.
No complaints and you never have to worry that it'll scratch the shaft.
Plus you can turn it any which way you'd like AND it's off center so it's easy to go in front of balls and then elevate it above them.

I have a leather bridge head that is ok, but the moose head is a lot better in terms of use at the table. I got one of the cheapest I saw (under $2 I believe) and spent less than 5 minutes sanding all the ridges off. I use my jump cue to put the bridge heads on when I play; its light and the g10 ferrule/tip combo isn't subject to accidental tip removal.

Larry Keller and I were on the same League team when he designed
and built the first Just-a-Bridge. They were CNC machined from
Aircraft Aluminum, then Anodized in many colors. Those sold for
$60+ , were bulletproof, but you could ding the Shafts with them.

I use a Tiger Corona leather bridge. Classic style but won't scratch your cue. Fits on any cue and stores flat and takes up almost no room in your case.

They lock together when stacking so you can shoot over the whole rack fairly easily. The are made of a kind of plastic that won't mar your cue. Every pool hall should have nothing else. They are only $2 each in quantity, so there is no excuse for the destructive, cheap cast metal bridge heads you usually see.

ditto on JustABridge. aside from protecting the shaft it is extremely accommodating. it adjusts higher and lower than any bridge

Awesome, thanks for the info guys. I think the leather one should be sufficient but may get a just a bridge if I can find one for the right price

I can't believe no one has mentioned the old removable Spinali/moosehead/Batman bridge. I've had mine for over 20 years now.

I'm also sure there are cheaper knockoffs around now,but the original never damaged a single shaft of mine. Tommy D.

Anyone know the brand/name of extendable snooker bridge Darren uses in his matches?
I always thought you can't get elevated over obstacles, but it seems so natural and smooth for anything center ball that requires a bridge.
