Was he a WPA sanctioned event "World Champion," or just a "World Tournament" champion? I just couldn't resist . . . :poke: :D

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

Best full circle joke of the day. I think I spend too much time on AZ in too many subforums if I get this one. Maybe a sad day for me :(

Go Steve!!! I think its awesome that someone who regularly helps us little guys with advice upset a world champion!

I pray that after Korea that my next duty station will be some wear on the North East Coast. I am trying to get to Fort Mead Maryland. That way I can play and learn more 14.1 and maybe even watch some of the best in the world play it, like our very own Steve Lipsky!

This is true Jude...I Am oober psyched for Stevie... i was texting with him before....great to see one of our very own there !!!

Lets Go Stevie !!!

this is kinda a stupid statement. It is certainly no upset for lipsky to beat Cohen.Steve is a great player and can play with the best of players if he can settle in and just run balls.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I remember the split he made years ago at a 14.1 qualifier, so Dan Louie could catch his flight home.

I'm really happy for Steve's win but I too would not call it an upset. The guy can flat out play straight.
