I still like Bustie over Gomez, especially in a long race. Bustie knows how to apply the pressure when he wants to. Gomez is still blossoming. :p

3-2, Superman over Shane. YIKES! Neck and neck to the finish.

I agree. Francisco is still the stronger, more experienced player but you would not have known it at least on that day. Gomez raced to a 5 to 0 lead and never looked backed. And that was after beating Efren and Pagulayan consecutively before facing Bustamante. Unfortunately, he ran into Dennis Orcullo in the finals and lost a close match. I guess he ran out of gas after beating all those champions..hahaha

You know, there is some truth to your statement. I have seen that happen to other good players. They give it their all in a tournament, play like a super star, and then in the finals, they stumble. It is like they run out of gas. It takes a lot to keep up one's endurance in these events for sure.

Can you believe this lazy scorekeeper. WTF!

I guess when the next score change comes, it will be all over but the crying.

This really sucks not having the score changes when they happen, to give us forum railbird sweaters something to sweat.

My boy Shane pulls out ahead, 4 to 3. :)

USA, all the way.

USA, ALL THE WAY, I say.

Holy Wise Man, Ronnie is on the hill, 7 to zero.

Go Americans, go. USA, all the way.

JAM

Oh, Shane, keep it going. Keep it going. Halfway there. Go, Shane, go.

RONNIE WISEMAN WINS!

He barbecued his opponent, 8-zip.

Believe me, this one should go in the record books, Ronnie Wiseman being the FIRST to finish his match before all the rest of the competitors. LOL!

GO SHANE ! I hope JAM doesn't jinx you ! :D

I think this is going to be a close race here. With alternate break on a race to 8, it is anybody's game truly. ;)

But right now, Shane has 6 and Superman is still at 3.

Looking mighty good for USA, all the way! :D :D :D

Shane is a one man crusade to restore American pool dignity. He has the weight of a country on his shoulders and he carries it well!

Corey Deuel is trailling Marcus "Napoleon" Chamat, 4 games to 1,
while Kasper Kristofferson is leading Jasmin Ouschan, 6 games to 1...

Corey Deuel lost his match against Marcus Chamat, 8-3.

Jasmin Ouschan also lost to Kasper Kristofferson, 8-2.

Ralf Souquet is leading his match against Amine Ouahbi, 6-zip while Joven Bustamante earned
the dubious distinction of being the first Filipino to be booted out of the tournament. Joven lost
his 2nd straight game, this time to Englishman Darren Appleton, 8-2.

Wow, Corey lost to Marcus. :(

Did anybody see the brand-new RunOut Radio video clip on the Main Page? They are reporting on yesterday's results, but it is still interesting.

Jerry and Mike say that Jasmin isn't in the same form as she was when she played so well in Vegas a year or so ago. Jasmin is the only female in this event. I wonder if women are supposed to wear the hijad in Fujairah. It would be difficult to play pool in one of those.

Ronnie Wiseman and Corey Deuel are both in the losers' bracket.

Shane is still going strong.

I will have to go check to see who Shane plays next. USA still has all three of their strong horses in this race. USA, all the way! :)
