Looking for Action

What?? If it ain't 12 x 6 it ain't a real snooker table! Of course that's just my opinion.:) Damn, I really miss those big ole fields of green.:(

Took my adult children to Canada a few years ago where we played on "real" snooker tables. My son-in-law's comment, that I have always liked was, "Hey its like playing in another country."

How right he was!

I like it! The first time my wife saw a 12x6 in England I think her comment was "Do they really play on that?" :D

I would be in for some 9ball sets, I just don't see when it could happen. I'm not going to be in LA anytime in the foreseeable future. I can't go to the DCC this year either, I have to go out to LV that week for business. Jay are you going to be in South Florida anytime in the foreseeable future?

The 9ball speed you listed is right about near mine. Shortstop speed. I think from the sounds of it you are a better one pocket player and definitely you bank em better than me. I not proud of it, but I spent most of my pool life avoiding one pocket and banking balls. I do like 1p but I need to get alot better before I should be conducting a nationwide search for action in that game.

12 Foot Table

It would have to be a 12ft with 15 Reds, okay, okay...I do teach, how about you teach me poker and I teach you Snooker :)

Do they allow hopping up on the table, walking around and playing on your knees??

Big Phil is out of his league playing Parica 9/7. He just has a heart thats way big. If youre ever looking to have a good game Jay with great company we can try to arrange a game up here at HOB with One Pocket Rich or Wayne and Big Phil. Or some local guys might try you some as well. It would be good to see you in these parts.

Thanks, but this is NOT a nationwide search. It is a Los Angeles wide search!

Well, you picked the best of the litter. I already told you how I would play that crew. I'm not saying I won't play, but I'm not quite ready to take on the best in L.A. If any of these guys are looking for heads up action, I'll be glad to bring my little boy Tang along. He's out of stroke but can still hit 'em a little.

Once again Wayne and Rich, I need either 8-7 and the break or 8-6. Take your pick. Phil only needs to give me one ball 8-7. All others, including you, can play some even. All of the above, Rich included, can play some Banks dead even. How's that for a guy who has only played once in the last year? I will gamble....cheap. :)

Jay,
If you have time in Manila, I'll play you $100 sets.

I don't have any idea how you play, SOOOO you got action. I'll find out quick enough if I have a chance. See, I'm not afraid to take a chance. Race to Eleven for $100. Okay?

Thats great Jay. I'll tell the guys. As for me I just had cataract surgery so Im out of commission for a while. I will take side action though. But Its just great to see you. You are a stand up guy and I think it would be great to see you and Tang play up here. Whatever is fair.

Here in La, we are allowed to climb up on the table, just as long as we don't leave any footprints. :D For real! :D

Jay,

You should have thought of me. We should get together at Hollywood Billiards for some cheap practice sets. I've been going in on Wednesday nights.

If I can get up on the table, I will play 9-Ball with a lot of guys that I wouldn't otherwise.
