I don't really believe that anybody can control the white ball. Everybody pretends like they know where it's going. I say that's a bunch of crap. It's impossible to know where a round sphere is going after it contacts another round sphere. Once you understand this FACT, it becomes obvious that the only truly smart play is to hit the white ball HARD....VERY HARD!
I hit the balls so hard they go flying around the table and I always make a least one ball. Sometimes when I'm in bars I win drinks from my friends and all the girls say to themselves, "Who is that hot shot pool master?" Once I even broke the balls so hard I was able to pocket 4 on the break. Then I crushed them a couple more times and nearly ran 6 of my balls off the table.
I used to think you could figure out where the white one would go. Realizing that this is impossible has really set my pool game free.
I remember watching Buddy Hall play years ago and the only thing I took away from his game was he didn't hit the balls hard enough. He could have been so much better.

I'd like to hear as much information about this as possible: detailed description, when it is used, background and development, some notable uses in important matches, your personal experience etc. Nothing is too much.
As with most posts by you, never heard of it. Buddy was all about finesse and if you had ever seen him play, you'd know that. He had the smoothest stroke of anyone I've seen in all my years in and around the game.
lol, ok you gotta be trolling now. Buddy was known for his supreme finesse, soft touch, and cueball control.
You'd see Buddy blasting the balls about as often as you'd catch a golden retriever quoting Shakespeare.
I agree. What is with the OP's fixation with "blasting" (either at balls or clusters), running ram shots, extreme power, etc.?
The OP may be interested in one of these:

Actually, I did see buddy mention this on his 9 ball video (but for like 10 seconds). He kind of said it as an afterthought. But for apa 9 ball, where it's about points, it does have its use.
As much as we laugh at him on here, I'm sure push&pool gets laughed at twice as much when he is actually playing pool.
