Bill I will be in some pawn shops and antique stores around Denver this weekend weather permitting and will keep my eyes peeled. I will let you know if I see it.

lost cue

I will keep my eyes open Bill, thats the 3rd cue i have heard of "walking off" in my short time here...

Yikes! Hope you get it back. Years ago when working second shift I left my Southwest out twice. Both times a good friend picked it up and put it in his locker. Busted my ass fierce the next day:D

Lost cue

Sorry to hear of your loss. had 54 stolen in 1 theft, never recovered, from Bushka [ real], low Meucci, it was devastating, hope yours some how finds its way back. don

Thx guys, I'm sure it won't make it to denver, but.....My bad, I left it, and it walked, was a good cue for 22 yrs, had all the specs from yrs of play, taper/butt diameter etc. it was a compilation of my Zam and S/West all rolled into on, oh well, those drunks next to my table, may have it, they were the reason Joe and I quit in the middle of our set, too much.

I'll dig a up picture and toss it on line tomorrow, will have to resistate my old desktop :)

Bill I mourn for your loss. I remember that cue when we played at the Denver 10 Ball open at Billiard Ink. It was one of those cues that was worth striking up a conversation about. Let's just hope the people that got it are foolish enough to try to sell it somewhere that it could be found.

It just pisses me off everytime I see a post like this. It seems to me that other people or the losers that steal dont think the way I do and that is how would I feel if someone stole my cue ? I know I would'nt like it and so that means I sure as hell would never do it to anyone else. I alomost lost a cue about a year and half ago at a tourney. I turned around and was talking to a guy I just played and had my cues litting in the corner , well I turned around and my case wasnt there. So I ran right to the exit to look and check the situation out. Well here comes a guy with my case, so I was right on him. His excuse was he grabbed the wrong case by mistake , so I took him over where the cues were and all else was sitting there was a little 1x1 black case. And my case a black 2x5-3x4 wave case . So either he was that drunk or stupid sr he knew what he was doing. And he was watching me play that whole set and congraduated me on my win also. Sao he knew damn well what he did. cause he even asked me about my cue earlier in the day. This was a benefit tourney to help a little girl with medical bills. And it was her uncle of all things...so he was asked to leave from the owner , we havent seen him since..But never the less these scum that steal because they have no morals or any self worth. I hope everything works out for you as it did me....sorry for your lose and I hope that it will be returned...try to check cameras or anything that may help ...<< ED

i feel for ya too. I remember that cue very well. If you rememkber I used that cue playing Dallas up in Denver once.
i did the same thing at the Fun Center with that nice Mcdaniel I had. I walked right out the door and left it lay there. that was 15-16 years ago and I'm still sick about it.
I hope it turns up, stranger things have happened!!

Kikel

Make sure you let Dave Kikel know too. Since he's not too far from the springs someone may try sending it back to him for work or getting a value on it.

I remember when Dave had his little shop on Academy Blvd and wasn't even making cues yet.

Anyway, hope you get her back ASAP!

It's a unique cue, probably the only 3-point Kikel cue out there.
I'll help get the word out in Denver.

Good luck
Ted

Another Pic

Thx guys.............

gosh darn it Bill...

That really, really sucks bud... I'll keep an eye out for it out Kentucky way too...I'll save the picture and also keep Kikel searches on ebay going for it the next few years...you never know... I don't know if you remember Byron Henderson on my old pool team at the Keg years ago, but his JW was stolen accross town on league night and some clown a few weeks later walked into the Keg and tried to sell it to me for 50.00 bucks...lol... so you just never know. Hoping for the best for ya, Please let us know if you get it back too... John

Will do, thx, yep first 3 pointer Dave ever made, 1989.

I'm from a neighboring state, I will keep an eye out for it. Did you make a police report and if so who with? Post the report number, if anybody sees your cue it will make it much easier for local law to take possession of it.

I once got a cue returned to my possession by local cops when the guy who bought it from the thief came into the room and began playing on the table next to me. Cops looked up the report, questioned some of my friends to make sure this was the cue that was stolen. They put the cue in my hands and hauled the guy off for further questioning. Quick & easy.

I wish you the same luck.

i was holding the money when you and joe played. i watched when you guys called it but dint see you keave your cue. steve miller told me the next night that you had left it there. i mentioned to him to tell you to try to see if jim could look on the tapes and see if he saw anything. but i will keep a lookout for it and i hope you get it back
