Alfred Suddreth (Red) another pool nut like myself who went with me to many US Open's, Camel tour stops, Derby City's and the Super Billiard Expo this year has lost a short but tough battle with cancer. Red was a great fellow and played everyday till he got sick and was liked by all that met him, he had just recently lost his wife Shirley so they can be together again. Red was 78 and a retired Charlotte NC fireman and a 7 in the APA 9ball and 8ball even at his age, watch over me from up there buddy.--Leonard

Sorry for the loss of your friend. Being a retired firefighter myself, I know he went to the big firehouse in the sky where he's waiting for the next call.

Leonard, very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I met Red a few times when you and he attended various tournaments I did. He seemed a great guy. It's a tough loss. I feel for you, buddy.

Ted

I'm sorry that you have lost your friend, and that I have lost another brother. I to am a retired firefighter (Fire Marshall).
He has heard the last alarm. May he rest in peace in a place of honor for those of his kind.

Sorry for your loss. Red sounds like a great guy that lived his life doing the things he loved, including pool. May he rest in peace.

Dave

Thanks guys Red was one of the good ones and on a funny note Red's last year on the Charlotte FD he said he earned $128 a month or a week, I can't remember but he was drawing more from his FD retirement the last few years than he had ever made while working. He managed his income well and painted houses on the days he didn't work at the fire dept.--Leonard

A very sad day for Charlotte NC. Truly a great loss to the people who knew him. I am very sorry to hear of your loss Leonard. My condolences to his family and friends. RIP Red

It is good of you to remember Red on here Leonard. My condolences on the loss of your dear friend.

For his years of service he will surely receive a 'Black Boar' for his first
match in God's upstairs pool room. He can probably hear the click of the balls right now. :angel2:

My sincere condolences. I to lost my best friend this past week. It will be very difficult to persevere without him. I feel your loss. Don
